Whittington Woods Campground

Nice clean property. Decent space between sites.

We have stayed here on several occasions on our way to see family in Illinois. Affordable pricing, wonderful pull thru site, wooded area, clean pool, friendly staff, quiet neighbors. It was great! Highly recommend this campground!

We are on our way to Missouri and Whittington is about halfway to where we’re headed. We called the day before and owner Shawn was very welcoming. Due to Covid (I assume) there were lots of open sites. The restrooms were also closed. The campground is lovely and we had a beautiful pull-thru site. Lots of colorful planted flowers. Free WiFi hotspot gave us full signal. Kudos to the owners, this one is really nice. Oh I forgot to add that we got a 10% AAA discount.

Very nice people and location right off 65. The people are nice, a lot of full time residents but are all very nice and welcoming. We only stayed 1 night but the site was level and the dog area was appreciated!

Lovely woodsy RV park. You get the feel that you in a forest. Sites are level & large and hard packed. It's in the Lake Rend area and easily accessible from the highway. We enjoyed it so much we're going to stop there again on our return trip.

Stayed here 11/24/19, 3/28/19, and 2/11/19. We have stayed here several times on the way through the area. Open year round however in the off season there are limited sites available. On our first visit we met the owner who was very nice. Each time we have returned we have noted improvements. It is well maintained and clean. We would stay here again.

I wish we had more time to spend there. Sites were level, all concrete and beautifully decorated. Bath house, sites and grounds were very clean and well kept.

Wish we could have stayed longer. But we just needed a one night stay on our drive home. Nice level sites, easy check in. Pool looked nice.

Very clean, the showers and restrooms are spotless. Some of the sites can be small. Fires on in rings on gravel. The owners live on the property and are the nicest people. Propane available.

We love these types of campgrounds - spacious between sites. It was fairly empty throughout the week so we felt like we were the only ones there. Lots of trees (though barren this time of year). Layout a bit confusing. Site numbers hard to see so make sure to arrive before nighttime. We had a large back in with neighbor only on one side. Cash or check preferred. Sells firewood and large selection of pickled goods at office. SI Pho/Sushi and Walmart close by. AAA discount. Fast response via phone through contact form / no online booking.
