Formerly The Big Eddy, now The Cutthroat Resort. Not to be confused with a 5 star resort, this is a campground with tent & RV camping (with both dry camping and full water/power), bar and restaurant. There are 4 cozy rooms for rent above the bar & restaurant. There is a rural/small town vibe with an everybody is family feel. This is truly a gem in one of the most beautiful places North Idaho has to offer. Mountains, the beautiful Saint Joe River, and majestic wildlife surround The Cutthroat Resort. Fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, exploring the outdoors via ATV or leisurely floating the summer day away with a cold beer on the Saint Joe. End the day with a burger and cold drink by a fire. If you are looking for a remote place to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and explore nature, this is for you. In May you can watch jet boat races from the camping area or deck of the lodge. In August there is “Rock the Joe” weekend featuring 3-5 bands on both Friday/Saturday. Summer weekends feature different events like poker float trips with pickup/drop arrangements, ATV/Jeep poker runs, live bands and karaoke.
