Dillon Nature Center is a 100-acre "wild arboretum" designated as a National Urban Wildlife Sanctuary. It has more than 300 species of woody plants, hundreds of varieties of wildflowers and native grasses, 200 species of birds, and a large variety of other wildlife along three miles of National Recreation There's a spring-fed pond stocked for fishing, and areas for a relaxing family picnic. The Visitor Center features interactive exhibits, a meeting room, natural science classroom, nature library, observation deck, and gift shop. Beautiful flower gardens and outdoor sculptures surround the Visitor Center.
