Joes Valley Reservoir Campground is located in a high mountain valley adjacent to and just above Joes Valley Reservoir at an elevation of 7,000 feet. The reservoir is visible from several sites and offers good fishing for cutthroat, rainbow trout, and trophy splake. Boating, water skiing, and canoeing are popular on the lake, a boat ramp is within the facility. Joes Valley is one of the earliest areas on the Wasatch Plateau to open for recreation. However upper elevation roads leading from Joes Valley are unpaved and impassable until late spring or early summer.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on April 28, 2020This was the first stop on my 2 week social distancing vacation. I was supposed to be in Asia but hey, not with covid! Just flyin by the seat of my pants and picked this destination. Almost empty, so had the place mostly to myself. Was very clean and the nicest onsite toilets I’ve seen (or smelled) in ages. Not to mention it was heated!!!
Would have been nice to have a dumpster to put trash in. Other than that, it was lovely! Oh, and I have T-Mobile and there wasn’t ANY service! I love disconnecting, but when I’m on a solo trip, I like to be able to reach out if something happens.

Lovely valley amongst the canyons with a large reservoir nearby for boating, paddling & fishing, cycling on shared paved roads and OHV trails. Large gravel/dirt sites with sturdy picnic tables and a fire ring. Very clean vault toilets and water spigots throughout the campground. No Verizon/AT&T cell service. No trash service — pack it in, pack it out.
