“We have a little of everything”
Liberty Kitchen is referred to affectionately as "the Kitchen" by its fan base, many of whom are also neighbors. The Heights, one of Houston's most historic districts, is located a desirable 10 minute-only commute from the Downtown business district. Today the Kitchen reflects exactly what Executive Chef and Co-Owner Lance Fegen had in mind when the idea was merely a scribble on a napkin, conceived with his partner and long-time Heights resident, Lee Ellis. Their goal was to create a casual, comfortable 'neighborhood joint' —open for all occasions, not just 'special occasions.' But one element that has never been casual is the commitment to the food they serve. They are serious about the food at the Kitchen, and it shows. With the newest addition of Restaurant Chef Travis Lenig, the growth of the Kitchen exceeds the dream that began on that paper napkin. The Kitchen is committed to fresh, quality local products with fish being delivered daily from a local boat. We have one of the few oyster bars in town to enjoy selections from the East, West and Gulf coasts. The Kitchen offers several choices on our charcoal- and applewood-burning grill including fish, steaks, spare ribs, chicken and burgers. We have a little bit of everything to please every palate.
