“A slice of New York”
Katz’s has been a Texas institution for more than 30 years. We opened our first authentic, New York deli in Austin, Texas, in 1979. And it didn’t take long for our classic New York cuisine to win the hearts of cowboy country. Before we knew it, lines were out the door and around the block. People couldn’t get enough of our signature dishes: the towering Reuben, the tart and crispy fried pickles, the rich and creamy Cheesecake Shake. We got so busy, we stayed open 24 hours. And that’s where we got our saying, “Katz’s Never Kloses.” Over time, we moved to Houston and opened both our Montrose and Woodlands locations. But we always stayed true to our original mission: to provide the freshest, most authentic New York deli cuisine, painstakingly prepared according to generations-old family recipes. We hope you’ll come see us soon at either location, and dine on the very best deli food this side of Manhattan.
