The Campground at Big B's Delicious Orchards

A local in Paonia heard I was looking for a place to camp in the area and recommended Big B's Delicious Orchards. After checking out there website it took me some time to determine if they even allowed camping. It's primarily a working orchard, restaurant and concert venue. But they do indeed allow both tent camping and dry camping for RV'ers. For a reasonable fee you can drive your RV to whatever area of the orchard you can safely reach. Watch out for irrigation culverts! Spending the night in the orchard was magic. Had a great time having some hard cider with the locals in the bar / outdoor patio area. Staff was great. A wonderful experience all around.

Fun place to camp they have a small pond to camp by or camp right in the orchard trees or for larger campers they have a nice field to camp in all close to orchard bar resturant and gift shop. Can try a large 5th wheel but not sure if it will fit. They have outhouses in orchard but at bar resturant bathroom with hot and cold water plus wash station for doing dishes. In the future they will have showers available but they are still working on building. No hookups here. We stayed here on 6-13-2020

We picked the cheapest spot but it was still beautiful plus they keep the lights on where the bathrooms are. It’s a very cute place, and the shop looked amazing. We didn’t get to go inside though because the hours are different now because of COVID.

We stayed a couple nights here, got in on a Friday afternoon and were able to catch a Friday Night Live concert, Float Like A Buffalo put on a great show. The site we stayed in was pretty muddy from watering the orchard and we had a tough time getting the 36' trailer level but we managed. We did a hard cider tasting and they were all great though some better than the others, the cream sickle was outstanding along with the hard lemonade were my top two favorites. We had brought food to cook but after seeing what they had to offer we ended up ordering their food the whole weekend. The smothered pulled pork burrito was amazing as was the fries smothered in their green chili. They have clean port a potty spread out around the camp areas and flush bathrooms by the shop along with pay showers. Great views and nice staff. We would for sure stay here again, eat their food and catch another Float Like A Buffalo concert. In fact if FLAB comes back there we would go again just to see them.
