Not super hard but definitely not easy. My wife and I did this while she was carrying our infant daughter on her back. It took us about an hour. There were a lot of people on the trail, so it was a little crowded. But the view from the top is gorgeous. When you get to the top of the stairs, you can actually go up about another 20 feet and see across half the island.
