The Chandler Inn

We have been here since 1986, providing a wonderful experience for couples and groups who are looking for a retreat to the mountains.We are in the Nantahala National Forest, a natural playground for hiking, waterfalls, golf, fishing, and relaxation.   Open year 'round, each season provides a uniquely different reason to visit the Inn. Our most beautiful seasons are Summer and Fall.  In the Summer you are surrounded by blooming azaleas and rhododendrons and birds sing harmoniously from dawn til dusk. Highlands is the perfect escape from the heat. Just bring a light sweater and a rain jacket for refreshing nights and light rain showers.  In Autumn the mountains are brilliant as the trees glow in shades of orange, red and gold. This is a beautiful time for a romantic getaway or for celebrating an anniversary. We also have fire places for when you want to cozy up with your loved one.
