“Quietly making a name for itself”
Bella is small-production, family-operated winery producing zinfandel and Rhine-varietals. Bella has achieved quiet success and a passionate word-of-mouth following among enthusiasts. What started as a wedding in a vineyard became one couple's passion & occupation. We are a small, family-owned winery in the Dry Creek Valley specializing in old vine zinfandel and Rhone varietals. We believe in letting vineyard characteristics shine through in our wines and strive for bold, rich, intensely flavored wines that show off complexity and balance. We love sharing the wines with you and welcome you to visit us here in the valley!
What an awesome place, we came for the name -- Bella, one of our daughters' name. First you are greeted by their welcoming outdoor seating area under the olive trees. There are hula hoops and beanbag toss for the little ones. Bring a picnic basket, it's encouraged. You then proceed to the wine tasting barn where the host starts you off with a taste of a couple of wines ($10/person), which is refundable if you purchase a couple bottles of wine -- regardless, the wine tasting is worth the money. After the barn, we were directed to go to the cave. What a concept, really cool. There you get to taste more wine, nibble on some bread sticks (to ease the wine effects) and chocolates. There you get to hang out and check out more wines for more tasting and purchase. The people are so nice and knowledgable. I came with my girls and my husband and they love it too. I love this place and would definitely visit again someday when we're on our next pacific coast highway road trip.
Super quaint and sweet. Tasting in the caves- which is really just a small space at the beginning of the caves. You can't tour the actual caves but it's sweet and cute and intimate. Not a Zinfandel fanatic but my partner loved the wine!
