“tasty skiing since the 1960s”
The Chippewa-Cree Business Committee and the Snowdance Ski Association, a non-profit organization of volunteers, manages the hill. The ski hill has been in operation since the 1960’s. Eagle Creek National Ski Patrol is on duty each Saturday and Sunday starting in January when the hill opens for skiing. Located 29 miles south of Havre on the Chippewa Cree Recreation Area the Bear Paw Ski Bowl offers a variety of terrain for advanced, intermediate, and beginner skiers. The top of the ski hill is just over 5,900 feet, with a base elevation at 5,000 feet. The Bear Paw Ski Bowl offers a unique opportunity for residents of the Hi-Line and others. From snowshoeing and snowmobiling, to cross-country skiing and downhill skiing, the Bear Paw Mountains have it all. With over 20 different runs and trails, Bear Paw is an affordable adventure for the entire family!
