Silver $ Casino/RV Park/restaurant/gas station/bar is a great place with a free RV Park with first come first served power on 4 poles. 4 outlets per pole. Free dump and water fill. RV Park was pretty full when we arrived but we are a 75 foot Renegade Toter Home and trailer so we usually stay in truck stops. This place has a very large truck parking area by the fuel Islands. Had dinner in the restaurant and it was a fun tasty experience. Very quirky place with 50000 silver dollars left by patrons in the bar. Gift store is huge and filled to the brim with lots of stuff you don’t need! Would definitely stop here again when passing through Montana on I-90.
We stayed here during the week for the convenience of free electricity and pretty great cell coverage to allow us to ride the Hiawatha trail over the weekend. The sites are large and there are at least four posts with 2+ 30 amp electrical connections. During our three night stay there was only one other rig that was here during this time. Everyone else seemed to use it as a convenient free stop off I-90, which is totally fine. We ended up moving to Cabin City National Forest campground over the weekend as my wife didn't feel confident to leave the rig here while we were on the Hiawatha. Nothing specific happened to give this impression, there were just some homeless people walking the parking lot by the Casino and with the frequent influx of nightly visitors we thought it would be a good idea to move.
They actually do not have a RV dump on site, but there is one just a 1.5-miles East off of De Borgia Haugen Frontage Road. Potable water is available on the East side of the Casino/Gift shop.
Don't get me wrong, we would stay here again, but when things are offered as "free" often times this means people do not take care of something as if they paid for it or it was their own. While we were here we witnessed an older Class-A somehow get their bumper hooked onto one of the power posts and proceeded to destroy it leaving the breaker box split open with exposed wiring. As soon as they were freed they took off. Sigh.
In conclusion, if you set your expectations to know you will be staying in a shallow woods behind a Motel/Casino, but with free electricity and water availability, you'll be fine.
T-Mobile: 24.5 up / 13.3 down
Verizon: 7.9 up / 3.4 down
this place is aok. nothing fancey about the camp ground but it has electricity and free. it is behind the 50000 silver dollar business. it will hold about 14 campers plus there is the truck parking area, very big area. stop by for a night, get dinner to support these folks while shopping the large gift shop and finish the night off resting in the casino bar where there are 73000 plus silver dollars. everything is a plus so arrive by 6 to get a hook up or arrive anytime for a nightly lay over. today the temps were 103, In Montana. crazy.
great friendly people so treat them and their facilities that way john
This is a free campground with electric. There are also corrals if you have horses that need water etc. Nothing fancy but quite a few places to park for a night. Tons of truckers at night also. It also has a great restaurant, excellent food & good service. The store has everything. Worked out great for us while traveling .
located behind the casino/giftshop, great place anysize rig does fill up at night but you can park with electric if avalible or there are many spots without electric to just park! Verizon is very usable there most sites you can get satellite, great place! Watch the video to see this free spot under the Video Tab above.
First come first serve but several pull through sites to accommodate big rigs...electric boxes look to be recently updated and new.,,gravel road is solid...gift shop interesting and the bar with all those silver dollars fun. Be aware quality of food in restaurant can be a crap shoot but overall a good site! We dud hear some Generator noise but was a distance from us.
I assumed this was going to be a big parking lot full of big rigs and was pleasantly surprised! The big trucks were all parked in the gas station/casino parking lot and the “RV Park” area is gravel roads through grassy spots. I pulled in late and was a bit unsure where the official spots were, but found a great spot (there was plenty of room) and was generally pretty impressed. Arrived late and left early the next am so didn’t see much but would absolutely stop over here again!
One thing to note— I entered the RV Park into google maps and it wanted me to take a dirt road into the woods west-ish of the complex... don’t do that! 😂 Easy access from right behind the motel.
Like another poster said, there is also a corral for horses and it was cool to see it in use on our stopover.
This place is better than a lot of parks that we have paid to stay at. We backed into a spot and had forest on two sides. We got there early enough to snag one of several 50 amp hookups. We did buy some things from the gift shop but it was not required to stay there. Highly recommended if you are traveling through and need to stop for the night.
Free RV parking located behind the restaurant and gift shop. Picnic tables, fire pits & electricity at all/most sites. Sits far back from road, so no road noise.
What can I say except it’s very convenient, right off I 90, and if you get there early enough (we got here at 10 am) you can grab one of the free 30/50 amp hookups. No water or sewer but can’t beat free electricity. Made a point to visit the gift shop/restaurant/bar to support them. Lots of people coming and going on an August weekend so pretty busy. And to top it off, a strong 2 bar Verizon signal. Would definitely stop here again.
