The RV and tent sites all have paved areas to park. Some are much smaller than others and the road is narrow and some sites would be difficult to access with large RVs. There are several sites with a wooden deck behind. Since many of the sites are unlevel, the deck provides a great place for seating. All of the sites are shaded and have electricity and water connections. A dump station is available. The bathhouse/restrooms are close to the entrance, a walk uphill from many of the sites. The facilities are old and not very clean. No Wifi or TV stations via antenna. We did have great cell service (Verizon). There is a playground, no dog park. There are a few hiking trails and easy access to the walking path over the bridge.
The setting is beautiful, the lake views are great - just take ear plugs for sleep.

Had made reservations and thru the process indicated that the rv was 32' long. When arrived at park and located the site, there was no way to back in or pull thru. The trailer would have been totally off the back of the pad and no way to stabilize the trailer. This park should be limited to tent camping or trailers 20' or less.

Beautiful location just on the side of Land Between the Lakes on Kentucky Lake. The staff is friendly when they are around as is the camp host when he is around. The sites are small and unlevel (no matter what the websites states). One employee let me know that there’s only two level sites in the place. There’s only one bathhouse with a portapotty at the end of each loop. I’d not recommend staying if your camper is more that 20 ft.long as the pads aren’t that big, nor are they level. Maneuvering around the campground with a bigger rig (more than 20 ft.) can be tricky as there a lot of trees and narrow road that makes turning a bit hard to perform, some campers will have their tow vehicle parked on the side partly in the road, or in the middle of the loop “islands” which further complicates the issue.. To keep from poking our nose out in the road, I had to put the stabilizers off the back of the pad. The combination of needing 6 high on the leveling blocks on one side required me to find more leveling blocks for our back stabilizers. I had to use 10 for each stabilizer along with some wheel chocks as shims to even get those to somewhat level. With all that one of our stabilizer jacks was almost all the way down. Luckily we had our extension cable as it was approx 40 ft. To the pedestal and water. Our front steps were opened and not able to fully open due to the angle of the site. After a few nights of no sleep due to nervousness of setup, we were able to move to another site. Site was a little better on level as it was up on the main loop. Unfortunately for another couple a termite infested tree fell on their camper and totaled it. They had to reach out to the lodge ( a couple of miles away) and have them send someone out, as there was no employee or camp host onsite, during the day. Rather than than offer the couple a place to stay at the lodge, they offered for them to come to the lodge for paperwork. The lack of assistance to the couple and the concern of the management was appalling. The staff only stated they were glad no one was hurt, but they had no say in anything. Unfortunately their management doesn’t seem to want to invest in the park, as it does need some work for modern trailers. We’ve determined we would not return, which is sad as we love the Kentucky State Parks normally. This has been the worst state park campground that we’ve been to, due to lack of upkeep.

Tl;dr - noisy highway, sloped campsites, weird smell, hard to find
1) GPS will take you to the resort on the OPPOSITE side of the highway from the campground. The turn for the campground is on the opposite side of the road and NOT marked with any signs off the highway. Upon arrival, there was no attendant to be found. I did not see one my entire stay.
2) Every single site is at a severe slope. Yes, every single one. I spent an evening looking for a site to move to and none were worth rehooking up the trailer for. I leveled out best I could but spent the entire stay at a serious angle. I carry a reasonable amount of leveling blocks and it was not enough to adjust for this campground.
3) The sites are EXTREMELY narrow and difficult to navigate. If the site directly across from mine had been occupied, there would have been no way I could have backed into mine. The concrete pads are only large enough to fit a trailer, you walk straight off onto the dirt. A lot of the other campers have parked their rigs on the actual dirt to use the concrete slab as living space. Due to trees, there was not room to do this at mine.
4) You can see the highway from the campground and you can clearly hear it, even over the ac unit and tv. It is very, very loud. Especially during the day. If you sleep with a window open, you won’t here.
5) Every evening the campground distinctly reeks of muggy trash/sewage. It permeates through the campground. I don’t know if it’s exhaust from the highway or what but *gross*
6) the campground listing clearly says no golf carts, yet nearly everyone is zipping through the campground with one. Mildly annoying, but just adds to the highway noise.
7) yes, as warned, electrical boxes are far. You will need an extension cord.
All in all, I would come back to the lake, but I would choose any other campground. Will never stay here again.

I’m so grateful to precious reviewers who warned how far power and water outlets are. I’m in site 67 - the most northeastern corner of campground- private, quiet. I needed 50’ power cord and hose. And my goodness these sites are small. Just barely big enough for my little t@g, with rear galley tent and parking my car sideways in front to stay out of the road. But my goodness, it’s worth it. And yeah, sites aren’t level. With my senior discount I paid $27 a nite. I’ll be back. Sweet little restaurants in the area. Quaint car hop burger joint called Belews. Seafood spot called The Pond. A very enjoyable, affordable trip without all the noise and smell of big RVs.

Someone added a review that says this park has full bars on ATT and Verizon. That is not accurate. One bar Verizon and 1 bar ATT. Upload: 2.6 Download: 0.19. Not usable.
