Didn’t use the pool but it’s there. The only issue was extreme lack of cell service. WiFi access was an additional $30. Bathrooms were super clean near our site. There were very, very loud campers until 11pm on a Sat night. I mean really loud.

The spots are on top of each other and the one we were assigned was very steep/unlevel/ungraded. We tried backing in and started scraping the bottom of our trailer so we just left and camped at a Cracker Barrel a half hour down the road.

Stayed for one night. Site was level although
many are not. We requested that during the reservation process.
It was not a busy time and we were told that if we did not like our spot, that we could take any open one. Not sure how that works b/c my site was not marked prior to our arrival. They are only open until 5pm and did not leave any info for late arrivals. This could easily be a source of conflict.
Camp ground was quiet. Spaces a little small. Restrooms very clean. Each shower has a small changing area. Did not use the pool but it looked nice.
They need to provide a map or better directions as it is a little out of the way. Also their phones were out on our arrival date.

We were slightly worried by reviews about the road into the campground, but navigated it fine in our truck and 32 foot trailer. Some unpacked roads required us to slow down a bit but it helped that there were not many other cars on the roads. We were in site E3 with water and 30/50amp electric. Sites were kind of close together but backed up to forest, and had a large turn around area which made for easy parking. Getting through the campground to our site the roads were tight at times. There are many long term residents at happy hills so there was a lot going on, fine for our weekend stay but might not be as quiet as other campgrounds. In October they have Halloween festivities every weekend including a Saturday night haunted house (loud until 11pm and then it was quiet). Campground WiFi was ok for basic needs but not enough for streaming. We enjoyed the short drive to check out Berkley Springs!

My family and I rent cabins every year for Halloween. The campground has a main office and store that also serves hot foods such as pizza and breakfast sandwiches which is great for that one night or morning that you just want to relax. The staff is friendly and helpful. The cabins are clean and come with a mini fridge, coffee pot, TV, and wi-fi is available for purchase. You will need your own sheets/blankets/pillows. There's a fire ring and picnic table outside each cabin. Firewood is sold at the campground and no outside firewood is allowed but it isn't expensive. You can even have them bring a load to ur campsite on their bulldozer.
The activities are fantastic, especially at Halloween. The entire camp decorates, there are scheduled activities such as camp- wide trick or treat, bingo, pumpkin carving, costume contest, etc. At night there is a haunted trail and a haunted barn and usually a bonfire with a dj. If you have older kids that don't want to go through the haunts, they can volunteer to help out with them instead.
All in all, Happy Hills is a great place to spend time with family. We look forward to this trip every year!
