The RV sites share a well water spicot with your neighbor, bring a splitter. The RVs are closely stacked next to each other without much privacy. The private camping has no hook ups. A dump station but none by your site. Narrow road and entrance to the park. Cute mile long trail up hill gives you a view of the park. Narrow tiny road to Angel Fire is the best place for supplies. If you want remote with fishing itโs a good place.

Beautiful open meadows to enjoy nature on the creek. Saw deer, ๐ฆ cows, ๐ ๐ฎ lots of birds! #20 has electricity and water, too with the best view of the Meadow. They have tent sites, โบ RV sites with power and water. Some sites are large enough for big rigs. Beautiful sky at night!! Some sites include protective picnic area that resemble log cabins. Built very well, with a picnic table. Showers will be open soon. Pit toilets are open. AT&T gave us 2 bars, average. ๐ The rangers are very nice & do a great job!! They're on ANYONE who builds a fire, (neighbor camper) when there's a sign as you pull in that says, NO CAMPFIRES! So, please obey the rules. ๐

Beautiful spot with the Creek right there. Vault toilets were kept up, but showers were out of order.

This is a lovely mountain meadow with a bubbling (trout?) stream way off the beaten track, esp if coming from the north. The 10 RV sites are cheek to jowl in an un-charming, crowded row at the edge of a meadow, about two human arm spans apart. Surrounded by space and beauty, you are subjected to a complete lack of privacy and room. It was rainy when we visited, which made it worse, as there's plenty of mud to go around. Moving from our reserved, muddy, jammed-up site (5E) to a more gravelly site on the end that was available for our one-night stay (10E) took ages due to the combined lack of helpfulness, the long hold times, and the seeming policy inflexibility of many, from the park host to the Customer Care rep at reserve.gov, but someone finally made it happen after about an hour and a half. So we didn't have to look at our neighbor's trashed-out campsite, and we had some breathing room on one side and a meadow view from our window, but I'm not sure it was worth the frustration. If you want to book with electric, consider *only* 1E, 10E, or maybe the pull-thru oddball site under the trees (the ONLY shade) 12E. Showers were clean, and there is slow wifi, to my astonishment, though it violated every security certificate our Apple devices wanted to enforce.
PS: The next morning, we had to drive up a muddy road uphill to the far end of the park for the RV dump, as far as possible from the RV camping spaces. It was pretty basic, and would be hard to access for a big rig on a hill like it is. On the way to the dump, we saw site #20, the lone Elec/Water site in the tent area and far and away the nicest RV site in the park, with a covered table, total privacy and a view of the meadow.

Absolutely loved this park! Site had electric and water, was clean throughout and near-perfectly level. Stunning views around. Within walking distance to a well-maintained vault toilet and bear-resistant trash receptacle. Entire park was well maintained, friendly service of the CGH and Ranger. We didnโt fish but our neighbor did several times during our stay, all successful! We toured the park a few times to look at the other sites, most all were lovely. There is an area of some electric sites that are close, but so many other options around/

We were lucky to be there during trout stocking, so everyone caught some small trout but after a couple of days the catching really slackened.
On the negative side: Like another reviewer stated, the main sites are stacked together rather tight, I could hear my neighbor's conversation in their trailer even at normal speaking volume.
There's little phone service, NONE for T-mobile, and the closest shopping of any king is about 17 miles away, so you better come with all your vittles.
But the main reason for the 2 stars was a less than amiable camp host that was NOT a people person at all, was a bit offensive and domineering, big on RULING HIS ROOST, being young, the job possibly got to his head.
Sometimes the camp host can make or break the experience.

The 10 electric sites were close together but i didnโt mind - met many very nice people. Note they are remodeling and these 10 sites are being replaced with 5 sites with more room. Additional electric sites are being added elsewhere - some time next year. With a MIMO external antenna I got 17 down & 4 up on ATT. Pleasant 39 minute drive to food and services in Angel Fire. Hot high pressure shower - 10 second button - but still excellent
