The Spoon Trade

The Spoon Trade is a gathering place in the heart of the five cities in Grover Beach. You can trust the food and drink to be sourced and prepared with care and creativity. The owners celebrate the diverse bounty of California and continue to rotate offerings with the seasons. Alongside the food will be an eclectic drink list, featuring craft beer and small production wine. Brooke Town will source producers that keep sustainability and natural processes at the forefront. The dining room opens Thursday through Monday at 4:00 pm and is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We also serve Sunday brunch from 10:30- 2:00 as well as a fast casual lunch on Friday, Saturday and Monday from 10:30-2:00. The Spoon Trade offers several seating options for a variety of diners. The bar and gathering area allow guests to stand for a quick beer at the window, or meet new neighbors at the community table. If you prefer to stay a while, there is a heated patio and a fun casual dining room. People can learn about food and wine from the knowledgeable staff or just trust their instincts. The dinner menu is a collection of Chef, Jacob Town’s favorite things to cook, serve and eat. Jacob will use locally sourced products to create modern dishes that nod to the classics. Look for comforting entrées, such as Fried Chicken and Waffles or our grilled Pork Chop.  Sunday Brunch is a fun way to start the day before beach walks or any other daytime activity. The ala carte menu offers a variety of waffles, egg dishes and some of our other specialties.  Our fast casual lunch menu is a hybrid of brunch and dinner with an "American Tapas" feel, while offering sandwiches and sides to satisfy more traditional cravings.  The menus will fluctuate with the season, allowing the guest to experience something new with every visit.
