“On 60 Acres of Land”
In April 2002 a group of farmers, collectors, govermental representatives and civic leaders gathered to develop a dream of building a museum to preserve our farm heritage. It was felt the location of Greenville, Ill. (Bond County), almost in the middle of the United States, was the perfect place. Two buildings of about 24,000 square feet have been chosen. One will house permanent farm machinery displays featuring equipment of all colors, while the other will house a revolving display area and small collections depicting the history of rural America. There will be something for everyone in the family. Outside we will have a picnic area and a small playground for children with farm related things to do. The musuem is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. All donations are tax deductible.
