This is a great little State Park north of Conway of Hwy 65. Approx 30 RV spots with full hook ups and approx 10 tent spots. Nice lake for fishing and a swimming area open in the summer. The bathhouse is clean and well maintained with big showers. Plenty of trails for walking and riding mountain bikes. Beautiful waterfalls! Close enough to grocery store to run grab stuff you forgot but far enough out to be quiet and full of trees. The group I was with agreed that if there was any improvement we would suggest to the park would be to move their fire rings back. Most were on the edge (so it was close to the water). But too close if you had more than 4 people, they wouldnt all fit around the ring. Had a 29’ and saw big class A with no problem getting in and out. A few of the spots were pull through if you need that. ATT Cell service minimal. Wifi at main office.

This was a great place to spend the night. Only way it could have been better, was if we were able to stay longer! The sites are spacious with a fire ring and picnic table...some even back up along the lake. Not sure if every site was full hook up, but ours was :) This state park also has great hiking trails and a swimming beach. We would definitely return to Woolly Hollow SP and recommend it to others passing through the area.

We have family that live in Greenbrier so this is a wonderful place to stay. Both trips were 14 days in the Fall. The lake level is low (but we still put our kayaks on the lake and the kids swam in the water) this time of year(Marina closes after Labor Day) and no waterfalls to speak of but our kids say those are wonderful in the spring time. The RV spots are spacious. Our only issue on our second trip is the power went out a few times but no longer that 5-6 hours.
We stayed in Site 30 our guest trip. And site level. A little short but there is a parking spot for you vehicle when disconnected. This trip we stayed in sure 1. It is a pull through but tricky to get in on the curve and to reconnect our fifth wheel so we will not be booking this site again.
You can make reservations a year in advance so we are booked for 2024 already.

Our stay was from December 17-31, the sites have frost free pipes. Our site appeared to be typical of the other sites: adequately level and well spaced from one another with, in the seasons of growth, greenery to buffer the view between sites. The sites down by the lake, though, are more crowded together and lack the greenery between the sites.

Arkansas is proud of their State Parks, and rightly so. Wooly Hollow State Park is a gem. (But if you want a real gem of a park, go to Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas, where you can dig yourself up some real diamonds for keeps.)

The geography of the area is where the Ouachita Mountains, the Arkansas River Valley, and the foothills of the Ozark Plateau join hands.

There's a well traveled Mountain Bike Trail. Many cars made haste through the campground as the excitement of getting on the trail blocked the neurons from connecting with the rational part of the driver's brain. But once they were on the trail, you could hear their whoops of joy.

There's a wonderful 5.6 km trail, the Huckleberry (not Huckabee, one time governor of Arkansas) Trail. We sauntered on it every day of our stay.

No cell signal (Verizon or American Telephone & Telegraph Company) at our site, which is the rule, save for a couple of exceptions. There is cell service at the shack bar down by the lake, as well as internet. There's also internet at the visitor center.

Five stars = the grade of A. Three stars = a gentleman's C. I'm a tough grader, so giving this park five stars tells you that I'm impressed.
