“family owned and operated beauty”

For clean, comfortable rooms at an affordable price, the Robbers Roost Motel is the choice of travelers in southeastern Utah. The Robbers Roost Motel is an historic building built in the 1940′s that has been a family owned and operated business since that time. The motel is named after a historical landmark close to Green River where the Wild Bunch (i.e. Butch Casidy, Sundance Kid, etc.) used to hide out in the very early 1900s near the San Rafael Swell, which is about 50 miles southwest of the motel’s location. For more information on Green River and the surrounding area go to Destination Green River.  The Robbers Roost Motel is located in beautiful Southeastern Utah, just south of the Book Cliffs, in Green River, right off Interstate 70, one mile in town off exit 160 from the west and 3 miles in town off exit 164 from the east.

Old place with some modern upgrades.... flat screen TV, fridge, microwave in room but no ice machine or plugin in the bathroom.

Absolutely disgusting. My husband and I got in late and just wanted to eat and sleep. Check in was easy and the man working was nice. The office was very disorganized and he was caring for a 4 month old. The room we got (#1) was dark. Dead bugs on the floor of the bathroom. Stains on the sheets. We decided to just lay on the clean sheet. In the middle of the night, we woke to itching to discover bed bugs. We immediately packed up, called management and left a message. We had to find a new place at 3:30 in the morning and do laundry. The next morning we came back and got a refund. Management tried to convince us that the bugs couldn't be bed bugs but were clover mites. The multiple bites still on my lower back and legs prove otherwise. I appreciate the refund and he said he would call his bug guy, but this was a major inconvenience that cost us time, money, and pain.

My boyfriend and I stopped through here on our way home from the Grand Canyon, and we loved it here! Management was really nice, the lady who checked us in (I'm sorry that I don't remember her name!) was super accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms aren't very big, but they are cozy. Everything was very clean and very simple. Not a ton of bells and whistles, but we had what we needed- a mini fridge, microwave, flat-screen TV, AC unit, and free WiFi. There's even little framed articles on the history of the town and the motel, which we thought was really cool. If you find yourself in Green River, the Robbers Roost is a sweet little place to stay!
