Great little campground. Right off of the highway but no noise. Offer meals delivered to your campsite and a free continental breakfast in morning. Will stay again if passing through
Owners working hard to upgrade this campground. We upgraded to site with patio…unfortunately, it was next septic and smell was pretty bad when the wind blew the wrong way! Too bad cause the site itself was beautiful with new fire pit, grill , table & chairs. Nice walking path with informational signs about history of the area. Great potential here. Nice hosts, friendly staff! Beautiful views….especially the sunrise!!!
Loved the staff, very friendly and clean. Enjoyed the trail through the lava field. Beautiful scenery
A really nice little park. Friendly staff and sites are clean and well kept. Meals delivered to your site if you want. Awesome wifi! Enjoyed our stay!
O.M.G! What a great little RV camp! A bit off the construction path-but well worth it. Neat, tidy, clean-warm & helpful people! And the cherry on too? They offer HOME COOKED DINNERS! And they’re delicious! Had the roast turkey & have to say something I’ve never said before-it was a good as min at Thanksgiving! The turkey meat itself was really flavorful-something I really work at myself. Can’t beat it after a day on the road. Highly recommend!
First time here and it’s spotless! Don’t expect any grassy areas for dogs as you are in New Mexico desert after all. But very nice clean dog parks. Level pads. Would definitely stay again. Even delivered their home cooked meals to your site. Gives you chocolate chips cookies at checkin.
Just spent one night here on our way to Santa Fe but this KOA was AWESOME! I heard that there are new owners here and sounds like they have done a lot of improvements. The bathrooms/showers were excellent. Clean and fully enclosed - my favorite! There were also a number of them which is a pleasant surprise. We were greeted with a cookie upon checking and were told we could order a home cooked dinner to be delivered to our trailer if we wanted. We did not opt for it but sounded fun. They also offer a free breakfast buffet. The laundry facility was also clean and everything worked great with the exception of the vending for laundry soap. Didn’t care - brought my own. While I wouldn’t call this a lovely location, there was a very nice view of the desert-scape. Well done, new owners! By the way, if you want to grab a beer, we recommend Route 66 Junkyard Brewery just a couple miles away.
We came in late free being stuck in traffic for 3 hours. They kept the office open and greeted us like family with cookies and guided us to our spot. The place was clean, friendly and I would definitely visit again. They also offer a simple continental breakfast ( very simple with COVID) which was very thoughtful.
The best KOA yet!! Beautiful 360 degree views. Super clean. Incredibly friendly staff. They offer a delicious home cooked meal and dessert (the peach pie is so yummy). They even deliver the meal right to your campsite. Not a lot of trees but the desert scenery is an amazing view that makes up for it. Very quiet and serene. Will definitely make this a regular when passing thru.
