“Tea Room”
In the fall of 2000 the Garden Gate Tea Room was established in a turn of the century stone cottage that was once home to immigratns coming to America looking for a new life and finding work in the local steel mills. This building with it's colorful past seemed appropriate when I set out to start the next chapter in my life. After fifteen years as a steelworker in the same mill, I traded my hardhat and steel-toed boots for a wire whisk, and the adventure began... I hope you enjoy my eclectic tea room rich with history that combines two of my favorite things, gardening and cooking.
