“surrounded by Pinyon & Juniper woodlands”
Next to Canyon Village Market Plaza, 0.6 miles from the Grand Canyon Visitor Center and 1 mile from Rim Trail, this straightforward lodging complex consists of 16 buildings and a main lodge surrounded by woodlands.
Better than we expected. Nice, clean lodge/room. Excellent location for enjoying all of the Grand Canyon adventures. Teenage daughter says "pretty cool". Basic accommodations , but plenty adequate. Would certainly stay here again.
We only stayed one night, but I would stay again. It was clean, and modern room. The east has air conditioning but not the west lodge. Busses stopped right at the lodge for easy access to the Grand Canyon visitor center. We didn't eat at the lodge, but stopped at the general store for a few items. We saw tons of elk wandering around the lodge area.
After reading some negative reviews I was scared, but it was the only lodge with vacancy so late in our planning. To my surpise, it was very nice. Basic accommodations but very clean. They were also very accommodating with a room location request for mobility issues. It was very pricey for us, but well worth it to stay within the park. Good location with store & shuttle stops immediately outside.
More of a old-school motor lodge type place. Clean and cozy, but nothing special... other than the primo location.
