Lake James Cellars is a family owned and run winery located in the foothills of North Carolina. Our name comes from the nearby beautiful Lake James. Step through the leaded-glass front doors of our restored 1915 textile mill building, located in Glen Alpine, NC and taste the magnificent flavors of our fine wines. award winning winesWe have a variety of handcrafted wines - created from local NC fruits, as well as fruits from around the world. Whether you enjoy a dry red wine, a dry white wine or a fruity sweet wine, we have wines you will enjoy. Visit our charming Gift shop and Tasting Room as you sample our Lake James Cellars bottled wine. Enjoy a slower pace of life as you relax on our covered porch with a glass of wine and wait for the train to come by. Stop in for a Wine Tasting during our normal hours (no appointment necessary). Our tastings are $6.00 (plus tax) and you get to choose any six of our wines and also take a Lake James Cellars glass home with you.
