Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 02, 2022We stayed here one night in late May, 2013, breaking up the drive between Tok and Eagle River. The price reflects a Good Sam discount. The park is quite new and typical for Alaska - gravel driveways and gravel pads. The wi-fi was weak at our site, but workable at the cafe which is known for their pizza. Weak Verizon 1x. Clean, hot showers. Road noise decreased significantly at night.

This is essentially a gravel parking lot with utilities. I only stayed one night so I could dump tanks & take on water after boondocking for a week. They don’t allow use of the dump unless you camp here. Unless you walk a trail to a view I would say there isn’t one. Laundry was clean & worked well. They have signs asking you not to use showers if you’re in a camper so tenters & campers without showers can use them. And anyway, they are coin operated so I chose to shower in my camper. Road noise does diminish at night. There are nearby pullouts with great views over the valley & glacier that are free if you don’t need hook ups.

After 8 nights boondocking, it’s a great stop to have a long hot shower. It’s been raining for days so a nice fireplace and electricity. Whoohoo!
Basically a parking lot just off the highway, but FH for $45.
Provided showers and laundry available, but not the best.
Matansuka Glacier right on hand.
And a cafe for breakie in the am! I’m in.
Breaks the trip up between Seward and Tok for us and the cat, Mr Migo. He’s exhausted from all the twists turns and bumps it took to get here.

Cafe has great Pizza and it was a wonderful stay. Level spots and a short walk for a great view of the glacier. Stopped her three times and each night was the same. Traffic dies off at 9PM and starts up at 9AM but not a loud as you would think.

This was a perfect 1 night stop for us. Site 23 was a back in site with water and electric for $52 CAD. It's a level gravel lot with a decent amount of space in between. No cell or internet service at all. There is a short walk up to a lookout to the glacier. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We did not eat at the cafe so I can't comment of that but the washrooms and laundry were clean and neat.

We stayed here for 4 days. We did the guided Manatuska Glacier hike. It was great! We also did the Lion’s Head Trail, which was very hard and steep. Great views at the top. There are a couple other trails to do here but that’s about it.
We would definitely stay here again. Our site was clean and the campground quiet. They have a cafe here and the food was very good.

Good distances for a run to Tok or Anchorage. Road noise was not what you’d expect since it dies off early (distance to nowhere). See my other post. Forgot to add the stars.
Full hookups, good water source, but side by side. Not the view expected (without a hike), but the stay was still wonderful since we could jump on the bikes and get all the view you can stand just down the road. Moose and bear country - saw both. Nice people running it with good staff and a decent cook. Ate left over pizza for lunch for three days. We will stop again. Military discount offered. Road noise stops dead at about 9:00PM.
