Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on March 12, 2022This is a newer KOA and it shows. The bathhouse is very clean with private showers with dressing areas. The pool area is very inviting. The dog area has grass that is well tended by the owners. The sites are some of the largest and spacious I have seen in a KOA. There are ATV trails right from the campground that can also be used to walk dogs. After the dog gets dirty, there is a stainless steel dog wash (I think there is a fee but I am not sure the cost). An area also to wash your dirty ATV or truck. The employees and owners are friendly and accommodating.

Unplanned stop for the night due to engine problems. Very kind staff, huge spots, nice dog area, cell coverage was good. Pool, entertainment, cable tv, strong water pressure. Spotless. They even recycle. They had nice sized trees between each spot. Again, they spots were huge! Very nice! Used our KOA points so only paid $15/night. Would definitely stay again.

These folks get it right! We have stayed here now 3 times and they just keep getting better and better. They are constantly upgrading their already excellent facilities. Real grass dog park, pet memorial, propane fill, pet wash, car & dune buggy wash, amazing shower house, year round heated pool, laundry, ranch house with activities, games, big tv, beautiful outdoor lounge with fire feature, outdoor game area for kiddos young as well as grown, full hookups that are in perfect condition, cable channels and even though it is close to the highway, it is pretty quiet. Office staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. These folks care about their guests both long-term as well as overnight guests too. They even participate in the free nights for service members.

One of the nicest KOAs I stayed in. Huge place with lots of snowbirds. Separate areas for overnighters and snowbirds. Separate wifi networks for overnighters and snowbirds.... Very nice dog walk area. Very clean sites well maintained. The park is close to the highway so you do have highway noise but that's to be expected.

We arrived in the evening around 6 and the shell was already full. Drove over to the KOA and met the Nicest owner ever. Scott and Winston were amazing and very accommodating. Drove us to our spot and helped us hook up (we are newbies). We are military and got our night for free other nights will be about $45. Kids got to swim in the pool, GREAT showers and restrooms and beautiful views. Only downside is that there is only hot water because of the temperatures. No fault of anyone’s.

Price reflects roomy, level, FHU site. Check-in was easy and quick and staff led us to our site. Could have left the toad hooked up...and neighbor sites were well-away from us. Laundry, showers and bathrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen, and shower was almost perfect! Heated pool was sparkling and nice on chillier nights. Some road noise and trains (no whistles) and wi-fi was adequate. We had excellent AT&T and Verizon service. Nice dog run areas. The town of Gila Bend doesn't have much to offer, but it isn't far from outskirts of Phoenix. We'd be glad to come back.

The pull thru sites are huge! Very friendly people. Very clean. Did not use pool or restrooms. Have LP on site. Some highway and train noise but not bad, no train horns.

Note: this is now the Sonoran Desert RV Park, no longer a KOA. Stayed here for one night with our 19’ Airstream and we were really impressed. The grounds are immaculate, the pool was empty and pristine. We purposely chose a site away from others and felt like we had half the campground to ourselves.

Stayed one night during our cross country trip -- what a gem! Large well maintained park -- the owner lives on site. So clean and organized, even the trash and recycling bins were pristine. Gated access was a nice touch. We were not affected by any ambient noise. Nothing negative about this park -- just the best!
