Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 25, 2020Wade & Brook are the best!! If you need ANYTHING, just ask! Spent 5 nights and this is the quietest camp I've EVER stayed at. BEST HOT SHOWER too!! Can't wait to come back next year!!
This was my second visit to Northland Outfitters. I stayed for 7 nights in July 2019 on site 10. I have a 32 ft fifth wheel and had no problem backing into the site. They have 30amp electric at this site, some sites have electric and water. Their dump station is located next to the bath house off the main road.
The bath house is a single toilet stall and single shower, but is immaculate. There is a small flight of stairs to the bathhouse, or you can drive and park at the top of the hill. They also have additional showers/bathrooms in the camp store.
The camp store is great, and offers free WiFi. They have everything you could need for kayaking, fishing, or camping, plus a good selection of clothes, candy, drinks, and ice cream. They also have cornhole, ladder ball, and other games you can borrow, plus a sand volleyball court.
Located right on the banks of the Manistique River, the scenery is wonderful. You can fish right off your site! They have a small sandy beach behind the camp store that is great for swimming or wading. They offer kayak and canoe rentals, or will drop you off/pick you up at the start/end of several trips. Their equipment is well maintained and doesn't smell musty like many other rental facilities.
The best part of Northland though, is the owners. Leon and Donna and their son Dan make you feel at home! They are wonderful hosts, camp help with any issue you can manage to have, and have a wealth of knowledge about the area and rivers. It’s the family that brings me back every year!

Nice little campground, pretty good rate. No laundry though. The people were SUPER friendly and helpful so that makes up for a lot in my mind.
Sites 1-4 are right below the road, so that'sn noisy. That kind of noise doesn't really bother me much so I was fine with it, others might not be.
AT&T service was almost not existent, I get about one bar with my Pepwave and 2k download speed, not enough to do anything other than email and web. Luckly however I was able to connect to the Parks wifi and that was good enough to watch some Youtube in the evening. For some reason it shut down in the morning though.
All in all a nice place. The river and gift show were nice.
