I gave this county RV park 4 stars because it was too expensive. The $49 rate applies to Thursday - Sunday, I paid $42 for Tuesday & Wednesday. I loved the closeness to the beach, my site was a short walk to the boardwalk and on to the beach, took less than 5 mins. Good staff and most importantly bath rooms were clean. I would stay again but only overnight if I needed to on my way to Crystal Beach.

We stayed most of our week on site 35 and LOVED it! Very close to beach! We could sit outside camper and watch the waves. Was only steps from ramp to beach.

Staff were great and so nice - only trouble we had was that when we were to move from site 1- to 35 the campers on that spot did not move before checkout time so we wasted most of our day waiting for them to pack up as we didn’t want to leave our camper at 11 unattended past checkout time. This was in no way the resorts fault, just obnoxious! Adhere to check out times people!

The beach was dirty but virtually had it to ourselves. Loved that we could take our dogs down to play on water. Would for sure stay here again!

We have stayed at the park several times. Very easy to make reservations, right off the main road, and excellent beach access. If your plan is to spend your time either on the beach our your RV this would be a great place to stay. Right on the Island close to all of what Galveston has to offer. A little pricey, but very comparable for the island prices.

Mediocre RV park but right on the beach! They have the basics covered but without the ocean steps away this park would be 2 stars.
The biggest pros; ocean, sunrises, uncrowded, great beach dog walks
The biggest cons; the sand spurs are out of control, on our shoes, clothes, camper and dogs paws. They are really really intense.

Our fifth wheel backed up right to the beach! We really enjoyed ourselves here during the month of December. The Galveston Seawall is about a quarter mile from the park. The park was clean including the restrooms and laundry room. The washing machines and dryers were only $1.00 per load. We will stay next year for two months. Lots to do in Galveston.

This is a no-frills campground with one great amenity: the Gulf of Mexico. We thoroughly enjoyed the sound of the waves, the salt air and the seagulls calling overhead. The lagoons have loads of sea birds. We especially enjoyed walking on the dog-friendly beach and looking for shells. The nearby Seawall is perfect for bike riding. Road noise is not bad and the sites are nice. The laundry is great and inexpensive ($1). The shower room is ok. Wifi comes and goes.

Great location located on the beach with two walkways leading onto the beach.
Easy access and navigation. Sites are easy to enter/exit and are flat. Zero shade for any sites.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Ice and laundry were available as well as package delivery (we had 2 Amazon packages delivered)
The internet service was subpar. Spotty and inconsistent. None of our devices stayed connected for more than an hour or so at a time. This was an issue for us.
The park was generally clean and neat, but the grass around the sites was worn and sparse.
Site 24 was located directly across from the office. It was bright at night and people were constantly cutting through our site.
You are paying for beach access, but the combination of the grounds, bad internet and our cut-thru site made it an average stay. The proximity to the beach did not outweigh the downsides based on the price paid. We would stay again, off peak for a better rate and in a site closer to the back of the park,
Overall meh

This is our second stay here. The staff has always been great. We rode bikes on the beach daily. We also enjoyed putting our deck down over the lagoon. No problem receiving Amazon packages. Wifi wasn't fantastic but we never expect it will be and always have back up options for work.

Excellent park, well maintained. Nice level concrete pad with picnic table and garbage can. Most spots had grills, but 36 did not. Easy access to the beach, which is actually about 12 feet below the park. I had a spot with a view of the ocean that was perfect. The spots are a little close together, but the view and access make up for it.

We stayed here for our daughters birthday and it was great. You really close to the beach like from the camper door toes in the sand in 2 minutes or less. All the sites are concrete and roomy. We would definitely stay here again.
