Located on the bank of Fort Worth’s Trinity River, the 14,000 square foot, open-air venue has something for everyone, including fresh tortillas handmade daily, and Love’s celebrated camp bread served with “pitmaster fat” - a rich and meaty spread Love developed just for this restaurant. The Woodshed also offers a selection of tacos, including Bourbon and Coke Marinated Pork Shoulder with Pickled Chilies; Bulgogi Beef with Housemade Kimchi; and “Today’s Animal”, which will be whatever specialty cut Love chooses to offer on any given day. Among the other unique options Love is offering are Brisket-stuffed Poblano Chilies with Bone Broth; Smoked Red Fish en Papillote; and Pecan-roasted Mushrooms of the Season with Four Chilies, and Olive Oil. Love is also excited to offer a number of large-format, family friendly dishes and meals, including a 16-hour Smoked Beef Shin with Fresh Ricotta, Chilies, and Smoked Oil served with Borracho Beans and Roasted Beet Salad; as well as Lamb Shoulder with Goat Yogurt, Chilies, Lemon and Camp Bread served with Smoked Spaghetti Squash and Plancha Potatoes. Love will also be serving Open-fire Paella with Mussels, Clams, Rabbit-Rattlesnake Sausage, and Chicken which he’ll be making in a 5’ wide paella pan, as well as a variety of vegetable dishes, such as a Whole Smoked Cauliflower Head with Olive Oil, Lemon, and Chile Arbol; and Local Acorn Squash with Tuaca, Dark Brown Sugar, and Smoked Pepper Hollandaise. The Woodshed features 25 craft beers on tap, including Rahr Ugly Pug Black Lager, St. Arnolds Lawnmower, and Real Ale Fireman’s #4. The restaurant also showcases some of Texas’ first wines on tap, and will be offering five selections, including Paul Dolan Sauvignon Blanc and Liberty School Chardonnay. With three smokers, two rotisseries, two wood grills, and a rotating variety of 4-5 woods on which to cook, The Woodshed is Fort Worth’s newest dining destination. However, it’s much more than just a smokehouse. With its location on the bank of the Trinity River, The Woodshed is quickly becoming a community meeting place, with a working garden, live music, backyard games, bicycle rentals, fresh coffee, and freshly baked pastries. One of Love’s goals at The Woodshed is to be as green as possible, and as such, all utensils and cups are biodegradable. Due to its proximity to the river and the running and biking trails, no glass bottles will be served at the restaurant. Another key element of The Woodshed is its ongoing live music series, with bands and performances curated by Love, and complimentary performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
