Aunt Martha's Bed & Breakfast

From the moment you open the front door and step into the spacious foyer, you are wrapped in the gracious warmth of Martha and Bill. The B&B is an exquisite example of old Florida summerhouse charm blended with all the comfort that modern day architecture and new construction provide. The B&B was completed in 2001. A baby grand piano entertains guests that want live music,while astate-of-the-art sound system with speakers throughout the first floor can be programmed to accommodate a wide variety of musical tastes. From the foyer you step into the library adorned with a spectacular brick fireplace. Adjoining is a living room and sunroom. Large floor-to-ceiling windows illuminate each room. French doors open onto the verandah that runs down the length ofthe house and overlooks the water. A separate dining room is spacious enough to comfortably seat 12. The room may be used for a business meeting or an intimate meal where pocket doors can be closed to provide privacy. A winding staircase takes you to the second floor to five unique rooms, each tranquil and relaxing. Each room is beautifully decorated with a touch of Aunt Martha's southern charm. All rooms have large windows, which can be opened to allow guests to enjoy the warm Gulf breeze and the sounds of the shore. Each room is equipped with a private bathroom, telephone and cable television. Martha and her staff provide an unforgettable breakfast each morning of your stay. The menu includes such specialties as traditional southern egg, ham and cheese grits; stuffed French toast with bananas and walnuts; homemade sweet breads; bakedstuffed apple pancakes; broccoli and cheese quiche; and crawfish quiche. The central location of the Inn makes it easy for guests to sample many of the fine restaurants in the area. Staff's Restaurant, adjacent to the B&B, has been in Martha's family for over ninety years and offers excellent seafood and steak. An ice machine is located on the second floor and laundry services are available.
