Here at Crater Lake Resort we offer private cabins with clean beautifully done motel-like interiors, including kitchens, both on and off Fort creek. Creek side cabins offer beautiful views as well as private decks with gas BBQs. We also offer tent sites and full RV hookups with camp fire pits. We have many outside games including a new pickle ball court. Canoes are free for guest use on Fort Creek. Our camp store is stocked with snacks and drinks for day trips as well as everything you’ll need for a delicious dinner, EVEN WINE! Close to hiking, fishing, bird watching, biking, and the Wood River which is famous for fly fishing and kayaking. We are conveniently located 17 miles from the south entrance to Crater Lake and 35 miles from Klamath Falls, close to the historic Fort Klamath County Museum site.
This RV park was our first multi-night destination after buying our travel trailer. To say we were excited would be an understatement. It turned out to be a wonderful place to stay and was centrally located to many awesome places to visit that we still talk about today. The campground was clean, well run and had a great store. We couldn't have asked for much more. We highly recommend this place. Check out our pictures in the picture section.
This is the perfect basecamp for Crater Lake. Fort Creek running behind your camp for most, clean restrooms and showers. The staff is great. We will put this on a return trip list for sure.
If connectivity is not an issue, this is a nice little park. The so called “satellite” wifi advertised on their site is crap (understatement). Nice grassy areas. The sites are close to a stream so very nice. Not too close to Crater Lake it’s about 30 minutes away. Gas up before you get here because the nearest station is 12 miles away in the opposite direction. Also make sure you have all your grocery shopping done, as the one store (also 12 miles away) is pretty poor.
Crater Lake Resort was absolutely perfect and charming! We enjoyed our three night stay here. We were in our 35' 5th wheel. The staff is friendly and the grounds and facilities are meticulously maintained. I loved the huge grassy area and that it was available for dogs. Although dogs were supposed to be on leash, we, and several others, would play ball with our dogs early in the morning or evening when others weren't using the grass. The resort also had canoes available at no charge for us to enjoy in Fort Creek. The creek is slow moving and not deep in most places. A scenic walking trail around the grounds was pleasant and easy to stroll. The floating bridge and covered bridge added to the charm. This resort is located 25-30 minutes outside of Crater Lake National Park which made it easy for us to drive up for sunrise and take in some early hikes. I highly recommend Crater Lake Resort. It is perfect for families, dogs, and everyone of any age. They also had nice tent sites, cabins, and yurts in addition to RV spaces.
