Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on August 31, 2020Buyer Beware! I reserved via phone a space for 1 night. At the time Mike told me he was selling me the space for 1 night and there was no refunds. I’m not sure I fully understood what he meant by ‘selling me the space’, and truly didn’t believe him when he said NO refund, as I had NEVER run into that before in 1 year of full-time RV-ing and reservation-making. 2 days later I called to cancel, as plans had changed. Mike said he was sorry that we weren’t coming, but that ‘as he told me, they would be no refund’. I told him that I was giving him enough notice (2 weeks) that he could rent that space out again. He said that was not the issue, and then gave me a long song & dance about ‘fraud alerts’ as to why he couldn’t give me the refund. And that it was everyone’s policy in CA (wrong! I have stayed plenty of places in CA). And then to add insult to injury, he repeated it, & kept talking so much I couldn’t get a word in edge-wise. Finally, I interrupted, told him I had listened to him, now please let me talk, which I did for about a sentence & 1/2, b4 he interrupted, me. I reminded him that I had listened to him, & that it was my turn, at which point he told me ‘now your lying- good bye’. And hung up on me. I think I paid $50. & dodged a bullet. Read reviews elsewhere first - I wish I had. My bad.

There is a funky “no refund” policy but that didn’t affect me. I stayed one night. Wifi included, water and electric. Dump station is free for guests. Showers available but I didn't use them.
Mike is a bit eclectic but friendly and thorough. He came by and offered to take my trash bags to the dumpster. His assistant Barry was super nice and helpful.
Not much grass, mostly dried up and gravel to park on. I've heard there is a pool.
No frills but safe. Would stay again.

Short term stays are in the less nicer tree-less areas, but near yummy blackberry bushes! Longer term stays are nestled in the more picturesque areas near the trees and with more view of the ocean. Mike is funny and eccentric, and speaks directly. There is a no refund (at all!!) policy, but you can rebook to another time within a certain time frame if you need to change. Kids are not allowed to ride bikes freely through the park, which was odd because so many other parks are fine with that. They must have had some really nasty kids one time who ruined it for everyone else. You have to pay to use the small unheated pool ($5/person), and showers are coin operated. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

We decided to take a last minute camping trip to Fort Bragg in the middle of December.
All the state campgrounds were closed.
The private campgrounds were slow to respond.
This one responded and even told us that we might be able to find a cheaper place. We decided not to keep looking, but to go ahead and lock our reservation in. The cost was somewhere around $50 per night, if I remember correctly.
The place could be easy to miss driving down the road: the campground is located behind the campground store.
There was a lower area and and upper area. There was no one in the lower area and we think he put us in the best spot in the upper area, site #10. There were a few long terms there, but they were pretty much invisible.
The water pressure was a little weak and we did not need a regulator in the line. There were two WiFi signals in the campground, but we did better via cell phone signal. (AT&T).
We checked out some other campgrounds in the area, but they were pretty crowded and cramped.
We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Fort Bragg.

We stayed a week at Hidden Pines during Mardi Gras. We hand the time of our lives! Stephanie and Chance welcomed us in and we're so hospitable. They had weekend of fun events planned for adults and kids. Our almost 2 year had an amazing time.
The campground is so well kept. Facilities were very clean and the grounds were well maintained. Our daughter loved that there were 2 playgrounds and swings to choose from. It was too cold for the pool and we did catch some rain. But they welcomed us to hang out under the pavilion so we weren't cooped up during the day.
We I'll absolutely return and highly recommend this campground!!

This is as the other reviews have said small but super nice. The city is nice as well. Plenty of biking, hiking, skate boarding areas around. Bring a jacket for the summer.
This is an older campground but is well kept for the most part. There is an older gentleman who is employed there and goes around making sure everyone gets set up. my new clean water hose did not work well on the old faucet. He was able to find an adaptor and get it set up. I think it was expensive for what you get.
While the facility itself is a little funky, the hosts were super friendly and fun talking to. You must visit the cove just across the street. It is amazing and worth being there.
