“Sample true Southern hospitality”
Halfway between musically rich Macon and cosmopolitan Atlanta - and with easy access to I-75 - this KOA lies in the heart of Georgia. Though you'd never know it from the quiet country setting, the campground is convenient to the city services of Forsyth and a host of regional attractions. Sample true Southern hospitality in lively villages. Explore lovely lakes, splashing waterfalls and rivers plump with catfish. Snap photos in charming Juliette, where Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed, then cool off on 3,600-acre Lake Juliette. Movie fans can relive Gone with the Wind at Jonesboro's Road to Tara Museum, less than an hour's drive. Visit Macon during its Cherry Blossom Festival for a burst of spring color. Basketball, tether ball and pedal boats keep everyone busy. Email: forsythkoa@gmail.com. Pool: May 1 - Labor Day. Max pull thru: 100 feet. Your hosts: Mike & Chrissy Galbraith.

Directly off I-75 (which is loud, hence the four stars), so you don't have to go off your route. A well-stocked camp store and a grocery store minutes away if you need more than a few supplies. Friendly staff, clean heated pool, clean facilities, and a better-than-your-average playground for the kids. Exactly what you would expect from a KOA- including a pizza kiosk and complimentary warm cookies on check-in. There's even a resident gaggle of geese that waddles around the grounds. It's a fun stop for the whole family!
Regarding the negative reviews about the sites: there are a few that aren't in good shape, but most are fine. Unless they are completely full there shouldn't be a problem with picking a spot that pleases you. And as for the sites being close, I would say this campground is perfect for a stopover, so that shouldn't matter to most travelers.
We stayed here one night and I wasnt bad at all. Only complaint was it was super tight from space to space.
stayed here 2 nights and no complaints, super clean and a very nice staff. although the sites might be close they try to keep space between campers. plan on stopping in again next year on way up to Mi.
This KOA is very close to I-75, and has continuous highway noise, day and night. The actual amenities are OK, but I just can't get over how noisy it is. Water pressure is good, and WiFi is reasonably fast (even though you have to pay extra for it). Just here for an overnight passing thru, and chose it for convenient access to I-75, but likely won't come back.

This is a great place to stay the night right off the highway. Staff is incredibly nice; guided us to our spot then came by with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies about 30 minutes after we arrived! There are definitely some unsightly long term rigs parked here but the vibe is friendly overall. Nicely wooded area provided great shade. Verizon cell coverage had me at 2 bars of 4G.

We decided to stop in Forsyth at the last minute, and called the KOA from the Ingles parking lot right across I-75 from the park. The young lady told us to come right over. The directions on our GPS were wrong - it told us to turn right off the highway, then left, but luckily there was a sign telling us to turn right on N. Frontage Rd. After we arrived, the guy that took us to our site told us they were arguing with Google because the street name is wrong in their database.
Anyway, our pull through site was level. The sites look like they were asphalt at one time, but the asphalt has deteriorated. Some of the other sites are sloped and make it hard to level. 50A service, water, sewer and cable. We did not use the wi fi. The sites are a little tight. Laundry and showers are available, but we did not use them. It is right off I-75, and we could hear highway noise during the night.
This is an older KOA, good for a one night stop. Make sure you ask for a level site if you stay here. We would stay again.

Gravel pull-thru sites. Some level, some not. Full hookups with 50 amp and cable. Staff was friendly and helpful.
( Order pizza and have it delivered to your camper here.) Picturesque setting within tall trees but sites are close and not clearly defined / separated. Clean but maintenance is lacking. There is a new section with long pull-thrus and full hookups. Those sites appeared to be level but they are very close (awning nearly touching neighbor's slideout).
Very convenient location for traveling, right off I 75. The road noise was not an issue for us.
FYI - our GPS landed us on the correct road but about a mile short of the campground.

This was a one night stop for us and we planned on not disconnecting out toad (would be our first time). The check in was easy and the people friendly. We were led to our site and when he left we looked and we weren’t even close to level. So, we unhooked the car and repositioned the RV and were very surprised how level it was considering what the site looked like.
Once we were setup our cookies were delivered. We decided to use the car and explore the area a bit, since it was unhooked. The Whistle Stop Cafe from the movie Fried Green Tomatoes was a short drive away and worth a look if you’ve seen the movie.
We also walked around the park a bit. Our site was under trees and very narrow, we had to move our picnic table almost into the site next to us to get out of the RV. There are sites down the hill, the 100’s, that appear more level and roomier and these have chimineas. Our site didn’t have any fire pit and honestly didn’t really have room for one. But, it was OK for one night.
We ordered pizza, chicken fingers and poppers from the office and had them delivered. Not amazing food, but I didn’t have to cook. They will also deliver items from the store, if you don’t want to go in and shop due to Covid.
There were quite a few long term trailers and some were a little worse for the wear. But we didn’t have a problem with anyone.
If we needed to stay here again I would request a spot in the 100 section. It’s also easier to leave from there, we had a turn on our way out that was a little tight.

Only stayed here because everything within 150 miles was full. The site was the most narrow that I've ever experienced. Couldn't use the picnic table because there was no room. There were no trees or shrubs around the pull through spots. Cable channels were snowy. Many residents were using hotspots making my Verizon hotspot useless. Wifi signal was strong, but speed was .01 Mbps download, better after midnight.
