“94-site Mora campground”
At an elevation of 50 feet, this is a good out-of-the-way choice near the Pacific Ocean and the Olympic Coast Marine Sanctuary. The Quillayute River feeds into the ocean near the camp, and upstream lies the Bogachiel, a prime steelhead river in winter months. A naturalist program is available during the summer. This camp includes eight sites that require short walks, and several of them are stellar. There are 94 sites for tents or RVs up to 21 feet long and one walk-in site. Picnic tables and fire grills are provided. Restrooms with flush toilets, drinking water, garbage bins, and a dump station are available. Some facilities are wheelchair accessible. Leashed pets are permitted. Reservations are not accepted. Sites are $12 per night, plus a $15 national park entrance fee per vehicle. Open year-round.
Near beach, however rv's over 32 ft have a hard time getting around the trees tight turns.
With three major ecosystems and almost a million acres to choose from, Olympic National Park is filled with possibilities. Olympic National Park is a land of beauty and variety. Created in 1938 to protect the Roosevelt elk, primeval forest and wild coast, the park encompasses nearly a million acres. A few days of exploration take you from breathtaking mountain vistas with meadows of wildflowers to colorful ocean tide pools or early homestead cabins. Nestled in the valleys are some of the largest remnants of ancient forests left in the country. Trees here can tower 300 feet tall, and the forests range from the westside's lush temperate rain forest to dry, fire-shaped eastside forests.
