A Discover Pass is required ($10 per day or $30 per year) but cannot be purchased on site. Site #4 is a pull-through site facing the river. Large rigs will be uncomfortable if not impossible here. Smaller units will be right at home IF they bring a good collection of leveling blocks! It's close to the highway but shouldn't be too much traffic at night.

Great spot, close to Hoh Rainforest. Site four is pull through, but larger rigs could fit into sites 2 and 3 if they back in. No turnarounds. I have a 27 foot Class C towing a 14 foot enclosed trailer and backed into sight 3 easily.
Picnic tables, fire rings, right on the river.
2 bars Verizon with no booster.
It would be nice if other campers with smaller rigs would be considerate and use the smaller campsites.

We were blown away by how beautiful this site was, like camping in a dream rainforest! Small, close campground with two other visitors on a Tuesday in early April. $30/annual or $10/day Washington Discovery Pass required but it’s quite the deal for the number of cool things & beautiful campsites we’ve gotten in 2 weeks. This campsite was gorgeous, clean, quiet, easy to access. Highly recommend!

Free ONLY for Discover Pass holders. Otherwise, not allowed to camp here.
Immediately off Hwy 101, about 9 or 10 sites total. A combination of walk in tent sites, 2 pull throughs for big rigs, and several back ins. We lucked out with our 34' rig and IMO got the best spot in the whole campground... A large pull through on the river side. Not 100% privacy between sites but definitely enough! The greenery and scenery is absolutely stunning, although don't count on solar if you need it!
There's a boat launch although seems pretty primitive.
No hook ups, no garbage collection, and one restroom which I never used so no comment. I never saw anyone coming around looking for Discover Passes although they're required.
Being next to the 101 there's a bit of road noise but it certainly wasn't an issue during sleeping hours. Cell service was great.
I would suggest using the pull off at the top of the road in if you have a big rig, just to check it out.
Chatted with another camper from the Olympia area, and she said it's their fav campground on all of the peninsula. I believe it! I'll definitely come back!

This is a beautiful first come first serve dry camping spot right on the Hoh river. We came at about 9:00am on a Wednesday and found a perfect pull through spot for our 42' 5th wheel. There are a couple other spots that would have fit our rig. Camping is 'free' if you have the Washington Discover Pass and display it in your windshield. A park ranger did come by each day to look at vehicles.
Our site had a picnic table and fire pit. There was plenty of space for two 30' campers as well as a large tent. We had river access, but it was easier to just walk down to the boat ramp. Overall the campground was quiet at night with a moderate amount of traffic during the day. There were also a lot of single night people camping in un-designated spots.
The site is about 10 minutes from Bogachiel State Park and 15 from Forks. There is water and a dump station at Bogachiel. There's also plenty of places to buy firewood along the way to town.
We had really good upload/download speeds with AT&T and Sprint. There was Verizon service, but it wasn't very good for streaming and video calls.

This campground is small with only 9 sites, but it is a great location near the Hoh Rain Forest and it is free! Easy short access from Hwy. 101 15 miles south of Forks, WA. Must have a Dept. of Natural Resources "Discovery Pass" which can be purchased where fishing licenses are sold. First come, first served and there is a 7 day max. stay. Some sites suitable for big rigs, one with a pull thru access, and others well suited for tents. Most are on the Hoh River which is glacier fed in warm dry months from Mt. Olympus. Sites include fire ring and picnic table. Verizon 4G LTE 1 to 2 bars and 4 bars with Weboost RV65. Wonderful campground!

Free with a Discover Pass. Right off Highway 101 and conveniently 15 minutes away from Forks. The turn off is abrupt coming out of a blind corner if heading south on 101. The campground itself was quite picturesque, our site had great views of the river and lots of tree cover. Someone had nailed into the trees which was useful in setting up our tarps as rain covers. Plenty of space and privacy between sites. The bathroom was adequate and smelled slightly but can't complain too much when the site is essentially free. TP was also well stocked. Heavy rains caused the river to turn from clear blue to a heavy torrent of brown, which was fairly exciting. Great base point for exploring the Hoh rainforest, La Push, And Ozette areas of Olympic NP.

Great free camping location! We had a lot of troubles finding free sites around the peninsula so this was a nice reprieve. Cell coverage (AT&T) was strong enough to work from. Only note is that the tree coverage was too dense for solar. 20 minutes from Forks for gas and groceries.

Spent two nights here and it was good. Beautiful views of the river with a couple river front spots. Only 8 sites in total, one ADA reserved until 6pm. It’s very shaded here so if you rely on solar like myself, 1-2 days is all I can stay. There’s only a vault toilet which was meh. Wasn’t stocked with TP so kept supplying my own which I’m okay with. Other campers decided to leave their trash thrown in the bathroom corners or around the bathroom, which isn’t cool. Arrived Sunday evening and there was 1 spot left. By Monday, 5 spots were open. It’s free as long as you have a discovery pass. Several people came by daily to fish along the river. Had good ATT service, enough to work remotely. Would stay again but hope people start taking responsibility of their trash and pack it out!
