“123-acre camping park”

The Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park is one of the world’s iconic forests. Known for its vibrant greens, curtains of moss and dense, old-growth canopy, the Hoh is nearly half a day’s drive from Seattle. But campers at Bogachiel State Park, a lush rainforest in its own right, enjoy a 40-minute drive to this natural wonder.  Relaxation and Olympic Peninsula exploration are the name of the game at Bogachiel. After a leisurely morning on the Bogachiel River, take Highway 101 to the Hoh Rainforest and spend a day among moss and mushrooms. Take a stroll on the mighty Hoh River, give elk herds the right of way and hope for a glimpse of the snowy Olympic Mountains.  Also 45 minutes away are the wild peninsula beaches. Check out the rock pillars of Ruby Beach and nose around in the tide pools at Rialto, Beach 2 and Beach 4. Then enjoy dinner at Kalaloch or in Forks, where you also can pick up “Twilight” souvenirs for the vampire story fan in your family. Back at Bogachiel, soak your feet in the river and take your time in this green-enshrouded forest. You have now seen a part of the world that few will ever experience.

We loved this park -- its full of trees and quiet. We stayed in a non-hook up, pull through site close to the tent sites, but we couldnt see anyone else from our spot. The trees and the trails are great!

This is a nice little state park outside of Forks, WA. The sites are really small, most of them we wouldn't have been able to fit our 27' foot Airstream into as they are designed for smaller campers or tents. I counted maybe 5 total sites that we would fit in, and site 27 was by far our favorite.

Located about 45 minutes from either La Push (and the beach), or the Hoh Rainforest there's lots to explore in this area. The state park itself is right by a river, and there are a few trails, but its nothing special. Also located right next to the main road, so we had some traffic noise, but it wasn't terrible.

Boosted Verizon we got 4 bars of LTE.

This is a small state park a mile or so outside “downtown” Forks, WA (it’s a small town), right off Hwy 101. We got there at night and left in the rain the next day so we didn’t see much (this was in October 2015). We stayed in site #27, a back-in site that was big enough for our rig. There were a couple of other sites that we would have fit in, but I don’t think the spots are large enough for rigs bigger than ours. We saw a couple pull-through sites, but they are curvy and narrow – not good for a rig longer than ours (not sure if we would have even made it). Some of the sites are dry while others have some kind of hook-ups. We didn’t get any signal here. Hwy 101 was above our site so we heard car traffic through the night.

We had a good site but we had to pull in the road against the one way road in order to set up with our door facing the campsite. Small campground with water & electric & a dump station. We had a nice shady site, so lush, with rain forest surroundings. Our neighbors we so nice brought over some great dutch oven bacon wrapped Jalapeno stuffed chicken.

So much to do, close to the HOH & Sol Duc entrances to Olympic National park. We didn't get to the other park entrance which we hear is the best but the hike to hurricane ridge is not an easy hike. If you do it watch sunset from there. Everything is so green. Bogachiel rain forest river walk is across the street on Undi road, nick easy hike in the rain forest. The state park has a nice little hike too. Your close to the beach, the tidal pools at Ruby beach are amazing. Need to get there hours before low tide & watch the sea life get high & dry. When the tide comes back in it all becomes alive again. Highly suggest getting there very early or you will park a ways away.

Forks is a great town, we found a hike in town called the Trail of Senses Interpretive Trail, we walked about 3 miles (nice flat paths) with a river running along the path. People pick mushrooms there sell them in town. stopped at Blakelees for some food & drinks & wifi. Ate there a few times not bad. Did laundry and washed the truck in Forks. Stop at the Visitor center there good info.

Well patrolled by the park ranger, which was awesome!! Felt super safe and no squatters allowed. Our site was huge. We had electric and water. All the sites were very level. Small park overall with 2 loops, both open. Big rigs seemed to have no problem. Gravel sites with fire ring and picnic table. Be warned though, you will hear highway noise. Clean restrooms. Pay showers, $1for 6 minutes. At this time it was first come first serve, but they seemed to take reservations too.
Town of Forks about 10 minutes away with a great grocery store, and delicious pizza place. Pacific Pizza.

A bit close to highway for RV’s over 25’.

Nicely located to Forks (5mi.), and the Hoh visitor center (~30min.).

Beautiful rain forest camping.

Very nice bathrooms.

Good dump at entrance.

Such a small quaint little campground. Only a few pull thrus that could fit a 30’ rig. When it’s not reservation season it’s first come first serve. I wanted one of the partial hook up sites, but got in on a Saturday too late (530PM). So I had to take a standard site which was fine. Site 10 is the largest standard site IMO. It’s gorgeous with large trees around. My Geo Pro fit nicely. The staff are wonderful. I’d love to come back and use their partial hook ups when they have electricity (which is year round) and water (seasonal) and dump station (seasonal). Showers were 6 mins for $1 but felt like you got way more. Clean showers with heat.....so that’s nice in the winter. Right by the road so you do get road noise. Go into Forks....it’s a very cool little town.

We used the dump station here since our campground (Hard Rain Cafe) did not have a dump station. It was $5 to dump and fill up water tank. If was a self pay station. There aren’t many dump stations in the area.

Beautiful little campground in the NW corner of the Hoh Rainforest, just off Hwy 101. Sites are better suited to smaller RVs though three were large enough as pull throughs for my 36’ DP and 20’ of flatbed trailer. A few sites have electric, and some have water. The dump station was too tight to turn into for my rig, but there were other dump sites available at State and National Park campgrounds further along our route. The lush vegetation was so beautiful and there are two short trails that weave through the moss covered trees and along a creek and small marsh. Free with state parks pass.
