Whitcomb Summit Retreat is a 19 acre mountain top property consisting of a two story hotel overlooking incredible mountain range vistas. We are located on the famous scenic Mohawk Trail in the Berkshires, just between Charlemont and North Adams, Massachusetts. We have 17 hotel rooms, all of which have been updated and redecorated. Each room has breathtaking mountain views. Guest satisfaction is paramount to us, so we strive to make you as comfortable as possible.

The owner of Whitcomb Summit Retreat, Jim, is a friendly, helpful guy. The rooms operate as a motel at the moment, with typical motel breakfast available, but are clean and a good size, with TV, fridge etc.

The nearby restaurant is not open at present and part of a long term plan to bring the whole plot back to its former glory, but the renowned Golden Eagle Restaurant is a short roll down the hill and guests at Whitcomb get a 10% discount.

Ideally located between North Adams and Greenfield, and close to the beautiful town of Shelburne Falls, Whitcomb Summit Retreat is hard to beat if you are looking for a simple stay on the Mohawk Trail with wonderful, uninterrupted views of the sunrise.
