Middlefork can be hard to spot when driving on highway 285. To get to the park, you pull into the Prathers Market parking lot and continue to head south, down a semi steep gravel hill. The park sits lower than the highway and the neighboring stores, in a gravel field, with a river running along side it.
The R.V spots are fairly close together, but as we camped here during winter, we appriciated having some wind block. The park itself is not terribly scenic, but you do have some mountain views. The management was very friendly and hospitable, making sure we had everything we needed to brave the cold temperatures of December.
We mostly loved the location of the park, as it was just a 20 minute drive over a mountain pass to get to Breckenridge and about 30 minutes to Keystone or A Basin for skiing.

We stayed for one nite in July. Plan A was to stay in Breckenridge but was too expensive and too busy. Middlefork RV has all amenities as expected. Located on the Middlefork of the South Platte R. Walking distance South Park Brewing, an excellent Brew Pub where we had dinner. Convenience store next door has what you need but you'll pay extra for the convenience. Has an area for digging rough to panning for gold. Would stay here again.

We stayed here during the end of April because Breckenridge extended their season until the end of May! This place was considerably cheaper than staying at Breckenridge so we decided the 30 minute drive to Breck was worth saving some $$.
Only bummer about our stay here was that there was a snow storm while we were in town which made driving our RV to our next destination quite difficult (you have to drive to the top of a mountain and down again to get to i70) EXTREMELY difficult in a 42ft toy hauler.. in a snow storm with snowy, icy roads... so we had to go all the way around the mountains when we had to leave. However, the park was AWESOME with us extending our stay and working with us.
We liked the park - it as quiet and had great cell service and wifi. There weren't many people coming and going when we were there - just a lot of full time RVs there in the back. There's laundry there and showers/bathrooms but I didn't use either during our stay. Camp host was very nice. Right up the hill from the RV park is the grocery store which was awesome!! Java Moose is the local coffee shop and it was GREAT! Go grab a cup if you stay!
Some street noise at certain times but nothing too bad. Dogs liked the dog walk along the water.
I would stay here again - Fairplay is a cute town, I liked it and it's close to Breckenridge.

$10 and they let you use a vacant site for a dump station. Reasonable and MUCH appreciated in an area with not many designated RV dump stations.
If you are interested in camping here, it's cute and clean and a few sites along a stream.
Staff friendly and concerned. Maybe the only time in 5 years of RV parks that a staff member came by afterwards to ask me if I like the site. The sites are something like decomposed granite, fine rock, smooth and level. Road is paved asphalt, great condition. Hookups are in good condition as well as landscaping. Nice to shave grocery and restaurant so near. Quiet and dark at night except I think I could hear the water in the nearby creek, nice sound. 30 minute easy ride to Breck (in early June). Fortunately Wifi worked well because my AT&T didn't, even with 5 bars 4G (not LTE). I recommend Middlefork RV Park if you are staying in the area. GPS note. Enter the RV park through the shopping center parking lot. My GPS tried to take me another way.

The park is nestled neatly beneath the South park brewery and Prathers Market on the perimeter of Fairplay. It was a little tricky to get into coming from La Vita (Southeast) as you have to take a right into the parking lot and another hard right to get down the hill. Its easy if the parking lot is empty, if not, it can be a little tricky.
Since we booked late we secured an electric-only site. We were able to fill up our tanks with water but we had to wait in line. The fill station doubles as the dump station and there was a line more often than not. Our space (43) was in the front across from the station.
The space was level but super narrow. I had to step into the neighbors spot to get out every time. Also when it rained our tongue stabilizer sunk about an inch or 2. It caused our stabilizers to 'pop' in the middle of the night. They didnt break, but did take some stress.
The Wifi is smoking fast and we were able to stream at will.
The host was great and very accommodating. He even helped us retrieve some mail from the post office. NOTE - Don't get USPS delivered to the camp sight. UPS/FedEx/DHL only. The county doesn't deliver mail apparently. but again, the host hooked us up.
The dog area, fishing hole, proximity to Breckenridge, downtown Fairlplay were all great and made the stay worthwhile. I would stay here again, but would reserve ahead to get a full hookup sight.

Very confusing to find. Very bumpy access road. Sites so tight you can pass notes between units. Great views of your neighbor's slide, tho. So sad to come to Colorado and have to keep all your shades down. Other guests parked in road so have to run an obstacle course to the site.

We were next to a running stream, space 26 very back space that was easy to back in. The sound of running water was very peaceful and nice. Any space from 26 and higher will put you next to the stream which we recommend. Spaces are average size and flat with room to park a vehicle. We got full hookup and price for September was good compared to others. Manager was a great host. Helped us with uhaul truck rental that we used to tow our sxs to the ohv riding area to see the color change. Location was great. Next to a local market, brewery and restaurants. Bathrooms were clean. There is one dryer for $1.00 and one washer for $1.25 per load. Wifi is fastest I seen at a park. Access to the park is through the front parking lot of the market, Ace hardware and restaurant. No biggy even for a 36ft RV with a 16ft enclosed trailer. All in all I would recommend this park.

We here because it was the closest place open if you wanted to go to Breckenridge for skiing.
1st - it is very hard to find. Either have to go through a parking lot of (Ace Hardware, Grocery Store) or go around and figure out which way to go. Hint, go down to the right.
2nd - the water froze at the faucet even though it was covered with a trash can and some stuffing. The Owner or Manager should have probably come and made sure we had it covered right.
3rd - they did plow but no salt or sand so it is very slippery
Manager or Owner was nice but was not able to give too much help when asking questions. When asking for best directions out he kept naming passes that we had no idea about. We are not from CO so that didn't help.
Like I said it is not really bad but I wouldn't go back.

We just called to make a reservation but the guy on the phone said no water hookups and he strongly doesn't recommend filling up tanks... So how are we suppose to wash dishes, etc?! We've stayed in 6 rv resorts in Colorado this winter with temperatures dipping to -30°F... Every Colorado rv park has easily accommodated these conditions but apparently this RV Park can't. No sewer, no water.
Plus, he wants full price just for electric hookup.
We've stayed at places twice as nice with full hookups and for 2/3rds the price.
