“fantastic lakeside campground”
The Flying Goose Campground has been providing a favorite destination for camping and family fun for over 40 years. The campground is located approximately one mile southwest of Interstate 90 at exit 107, or five miles east of Fairmont, approximately 125 miles East of Sioux Falls. Lake Imogene has a beautiful sand beach and is approximately 1 mile long and 3/4 wide. A nice quiet lake for taking a pontoon ride, canoeing, kayaking and other water sports.

We stayed during the week so it felt as though we had the grounds to ourselves. Clean showers and laundry. Nice playground for the kids. We liked the mini golf, and how nice the grounds were kept. The lake is a small lake but for our time on the water, we had that to ourselves too. Pontoon rental is reasonable at $50 for the hour. Trash is collected from your site daily and propane fill is also available. Much of the grounds are occupied by seasonals, however, there was plenty of 50amp full hook up pull through sites like the one we stayed in as well as 30 amp + water which would have been fine too as there is a full dump station on the way out and those 30A sites are closer to the lake.

We selected this campground to head south and enjoy some good weather. Campground owners are great, escorted campers into sites, picked up trash each morning, sits on a nice lake and has a pole barn for events. Cell service was good and plan to return again. Great spot for overnight if traveling to the Dakotas as not far off I-90.

The staff here are absolutely wonderful!!!! We came in rather late for a one night stop over. Greg stayed late for us. He showed us to our clean and level site that was even a pull thru. We were so thankful after a long driving day for their kindness. We were also surprised with how quiet it was for a Saturday night.

This is a great spot to stop off I90. We asked for a long pull thru. It was level and just what we were looking for on our ling trip. This is a very popular summer vacation spot. Seems like it’s very full if permanent rigs. There are lots of back in and pull through sites for travelers. This campground is located on a lake. Very clean, nicely landscaped and well manicured. Owners obviously care about their business and customer satisfaction. There is on site laundry, but we didn’t need it.

We only stayed one night but it was awesome. We had a long level pull through with full hookup. It was very quiet even though the park was pretty well full. They guided us to our site and even helpful with directing us to local restaurants and shopping. We had pizza delivered delivered to the campground. Definitely would stay again. Beautiful place, even though price per night was a little high. Wonderful hospitality!

This location looks like the Midwest version of a ‘place at the lake’. Many, many trailers with decks and sheds and yard toys. The paved roads, the 100’ pull-through spots are excellent for large rigs.
The pandemonium of summer would be beyond my comfort level for crowds.
But, well landscaped, extremely well maintained, helpful staff, and a nice level gravel 100’ spot made this perfect for an October stay.

Excellent campground and Greg the owner and Linda were excellent in helping us find a spot to temp orarily park one night earlier than our reservation. Wow! Two playgrounds and clean restrooms! Only negative was needed to rely on T-Mobile hot spot to work as they only have WiFI at office. Will definitely return!

Beautiful well run campground on lake imogene. We stayed for two nights and had a great time! Friendly owners, clean facilities, kayak rentals, and an amazing playground! Highly recommend!
I liked the showers and the open RV sites. Cool teeter totters and playground things for kids. The lake is nice, but it’s limited access only allows a few points of entry. The RV site was big and allowed the RV and a tent.
As far as the feel of the place, this is a locals paradise. RV culture where everyone knows everyone and the owner opened the tap (beer) for everyone to celebrate his birthday.
