“Brewery and Taproom in Fairfield!”
Cricket Hill is a microbrewery located in Fairfield, NJ. In 2002, we brewed our first beers East Coast Lager and American Ale. Hopnotic IPA and Colonel Blides were added to the year-round production in the next few years, and starting in 2009, seasonals including Jersey Summer Breakfast Ale, Fall Festivus, and Paymaster’s Porter joined the portfolio. We also brew a series of Reserve Ales and Small Batch Beers throughout the year... Our year-round and seasonal beers are designed as session beers that are as gentle in style as can be enjoyed by all lovers of great beer. They are full bodied beers that deliver classic flavors in the middle of your palate then fade away to nothing with no bitter aftertaste. We are not trying to make a statement, or blow you away with a hop or malt bomb, we are simply showing the world what great beer tastes like!!! We call this the gateway philosophy... Our Reserve Ales and Small Batch Beers are really something special, each recipe is loaded with the right amount of grain, hops, and yeast to produce beers that can be enjoyed by all, even the biggest beer geeks!!! Rick Reed is our Brewermaster and CEO. Mark Tilley and Adam Young are our Brewers, and Ed Gangi is the Operations Mgr. Cricket Hill actively practices Reinheitsgebot, the Germany purity law, in the production of their beers. In addition, Rick Reed is the founder of the New Jersey Beer Rebellion.

My hubba and I visited Cricket Hill this weekend. We were greeted at the bar by Rick who is funny and welcoming. It's a gem of a place in an unusual location. Highly recommend. Read more
