Went here during Memorial weekend and it was jammed packed despite the raindrops here and there. The scenery was well worth it. Colorado at it's best around this time of the year. The wet green tress and the beautiful peak of the sun throughout the day. I was only blinded by the snow's love. Can't wait till it's hotter here in CO to go hiking and looking for CO's breath taking moments!
Beautiful! Be warned though, that when it says no pets allowed on the trails, it means it. I tried bringing my small dog. I thought surely there wouldn't be that many park rangers, I was wrong, they are everywhere. So sadly, just leave the pup at home!
No trip to Colorado is complete without a road trip to Rocky Mountain National Park! This popular park contains over 415 square miles of trails to enjoy.
If you only have one day in the park, I recommend driving Trail Ridge Road or Old Fall River Road to experience all of the amazing views — without having to step foot out of the car.
As far as hiking trails go, I’d recommend heading to the Bear Lake Corridor. The hikes here range from quick quarter mile nature walks with incredible views, to epic hikes, depending on how far you want to go. Some notable spots to check out along this route are: Bear Lake Trail, Emerald Lake Trail, Loch Vale Lake, and Sky Pond.
If you’re looking for an epic adventure, hike the tallest mountain in RMNP, Long’s Peak.
We think a visit here is one of the best day trips from Denver!
Love this park 💚 beautiful trails, peaks & wildlife. hike early to avoid noon thunderstorms

Scenery was well worth it! Especially up to Emerald Lake and Dream Lake. Definitely worth the trip!!
Definitely go here! It's beautiful! I've been twice now and would 100% go back again!
Absolutely incredible! Even though most of the trails and roads were closed due to snow, the views were still beautiful. Even saw some animals :)
A must-have experience. We drove through the Rocky Mountain National Park on our way to Fort Collins. Stunning scenery. A camera is a must. There were many places to pull over to view the wildlife, take photos, and just enjoy your surroundings. I wish we'd had more time to stay and explore the trails.
This park wasn't on our original itinerary but we had several locals recommend it and I'm very glad we listened. It ended up being my favorite part of our road trip around Colorado.
RMNP is too gorgeous for words, it is awe-inspiring at the least. There are so many trails to explore, but I often found myself wanting to just pick a secluded, high-up spot and soak it all in. Can't wait to go back next summer.
