They have 110 full hook-up sites available, 22 of which are set along the Big Thompson River. Each site comes with a patio and picnic table, along with free cable TV and WiFi. Pet-friendly, they provide a pet walk as well as laundry facilities, a club house, fire pit, playground, newly remodeled restroom, shower facilities, and complimentary breakfast on Saturdays.
I am mixed on this rv park. It’s basically a gravel parking lot. Our site 43 backed up to the river which was basically the only thing I liked about this park. Wayyyy over priced for what you get!! It’s close to town of Estes park and super convenient to the Beaver meadows entrance to rmnp. The great thing about this park is we were able to get to the bear lake corridor very early morning for hikes. There is barely enough room to park your truck at your site At least this site is level I guess. When we pulled in to register the lady was rushing me back in my truck telling me I need to move on because I will hold up other traffic. Kinda rude staff. If I had to do over I wouldn’t pay this price for what you get. We stayed 2 additional nights at the Estes park campground Mary’s lake and I liked it better even tho it is basically a gravel parking lot also. At least it has a little bit of a view.

Staff are very nice and have always been accommodating. Our second year staying here. Only book river sites as it is very peaceful. Elk wander thru often. High price but peak season. Landscaping is not kept up well. WiFi is excellent at times but not consistently. Would be a five star if the upkeep was better.

This park is pretty. Unfortunately we got a spot looking right at a actual mobile home and directly on the other side was the river, which we could not see.
I work from the road, I use zoom and I could not work from this location. I have AT&T and I had 1 bar 5Ge. If you use zoom and work from the road I would not stay here.
If you don’t have to work, it’s a lovely spot and the people who run this place are friendly and kind. And the grounds are beautiful.

When we arrived at the park, we were greeted at our truck by Grant. He had a big smile and friendly words of welcome. After some small talk, he asked our name and went to get our paperwork. We didn’t even have to get out of the truck. He escorted us to our back-in site by the river which was super easy to get into. After some additional chatting with Grant, who is very friendly and a great guy, we set up and began enjoying the beautiful scenery. While the spaces are fairly close to one another, they are offset diagonally so you don’t “feel” like you are staring into each other’s RV. The Big Thompson River is steps behind our site and the sounds are wonderful. Elk can be seen all over the park at various times of the day and night. This time of year, the park is not completely full as kids have gone back to school. It is quiet and peaceful and the staff is so friendly. Utilities were easy to access and the Wi-Fi is quite good. The location is good with close access to downtown and Rocky Mountain National Park. Groceries are just down the road and can be obtained without going into downtown and facing all the traffic that can really jam things up in the middle of summer. The cost is reasonable for the area and the only negative I can see is the road to and from the office to the park is very steep and narrow in spots. If you have the right vehicle to pull your rig, you’ll be fine. We would recommend this park when staying in Estes Park.

We were greeted by Grant when we arrived. He was the perfect host and set the tone for a great stay. All the other staff were also helpful and the fellow campers were friendly. One of the nicest surprises was the stream running behind our Site 42. The sound of the water was so soothing and the water was crystal clear. October is the season of “the rut” and the elk roaming around the park and the town of Estes was another delightful surprise. Between the stream in the back, the view of the mountains and the peacefulness of the campground, we felt like we were getting a little peace (misspelling intended) of Colorado. The campground is close to both the Estes Park and the National Park. The sites were level and reasonably wide with full hookups. The laundry room was great and the bathrooms were clean. Our only complaint s we’re the internet was weak and the water in the showers never got past tepid.

The only positive I have to give on this campground was the host was very pleasant for the 2 minutes that we spoke. While I realize that being in Estes Park, CO comes with an uncharge for the tourist attractions, you really should receive a reciprocal experience. This was a water and electric only site with a riverfront view. There does not seem to be much care for the property. The roads are in terrible condition with several pot holes. They have cable lines at the sites but do not provide cable any longer and the internet is terrible. The playground is unkept and there are no real amenities at all. There are very limited restrooms available, the lower section has one mens and one women's room and a long walk up a hill to the showers. There is NO parking available at the showers and laundry either. After deciding to go up to take a shower I walk in to find 3 showers but there is no separation in the showers other than a plastic curtain in a grouping of three shower heads! On top of that the water pressure was pretty much non existent and there was no hot water...only luke warm. The park was almost full and there was a huge beerfest taking place just a couple of miles away and the office closed at 5 pm, I do not understand when an RV park is full of guests why you would not want to be open later. I was happy to pack up and leave

We called on a Wednesday and book for a Friday night. VERY nice people work here and its a nice clean park. We couldn't get a site along the river, but were within a short walk. It is very hilly but we didn't have any problems with a 40DP getting in and out. They had a lot of rain so the jacks sunk in a bit overnight.
The following morning they had a nice little breakfast for the guests and it was a very social event. We enjoyed talking to a number of other campers and all seemed to like the park as well.
We look forward to staying here again later this year for a long weekend or maybe a week.

Even though we booked a few months in advance we couldn't get 7 days in one site and had to move on the last day. It's very busy in August. Sites are close together. There are two shower blocks and laundries which were both very clean. Laundry was $2 per load, same for dryer. All sites were full hook up. There are some sites along the river but it would be quite noisy, so I was happy to be one row back. Location - not far from the town but you can't walk. Above price includes AAA discount.
