“Perfect gateway to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park”
Our campground is suited for small RVs and Trailers. At 7,500 feet, this campground is an ideal base camp for exploring the town of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. During peak summer months, take a free shuttle to the town and the national park. Spend a day at the national park, with its pristine wilderness, hiking trails, and plenty of elk, moose, bear, coyote and mule deer. Drive Trail Ridge Road for panoramic views from 12,000 feet. Across the street from the campground, you'll find Lake Estes and the Big Thompson River, with world-class fly fishing. Rent pontoon boats, paddle boards, or bikes at the marina. Go horseback riding at Sombrero Ranch next door. Just down the road (about one block) is a family fun park with mini golf, bumper cars, bumper boats and rock climbing. During peak season, enjoy on-site pancake breakfasts, ice cream socials and free marshmallow roasts. There's free Wi-Fi, and the store is stocked with supplies and souvenirs. Camp in a Tent, RV, Rustic Cabin or Deluxe Cabin.Your hosts: Greg & Peri Ann Query with adult children Jamie and Mark.

Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on May 17, 2020As I have gotten older I've become a little bit of a germaphobe and don't really spend a lot of time at campgrounds anymore because of the public bathroom situation. But I wanted to relax and "rough it" (kind of....stayed in a cabin) and I have to say this place was great!!! The bathrooms were not only cleaned but kept clean! The staff was friendly, the location is good and there's obviously no beating the view. I would definitely go again!!
A typical KOA: friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and crazy expensive. You're paying a premium here because there aren't a ton of other options in the area.
That being said, there was a nice little playground for our kids, but it was right up against a busy road.
Sites are very close to each other on the side of a hill.

The staff was super friendly and helpful in getting the site setup and checking in. During coronavirus the grounds were still open and super clean. They even reserved a full bathroom and showers for us and only us. So helpful while traveling with family. Beautiful view of the mountains and tons to do at this KOA!

Super clean showers, safe environment, and the owner and staff were friendly and helpful. It was expensive, however, it was my last night before flying home, and I think I used every single one of the amenities :) Excellent WiFi might have been my favorite.

We arrived after the office closed, and the property manager still helped my husband park in our site. Campsites are tight together. Our site seemed like an after thought. We were not able to park by our campsite, we did not have a picnic table or fire pit and had to request them, but once they arrived the campers next to us arrived and set up in the spot designated for us..but apparently it’s for them as well. We had full hookups, but were not able to use our dump site, because our hose had to go up and over a wooden curb. We were unable to get the right angle for it to work for us, thankfully there is another dump station near the entrance of the campground.
The campsite is in an excellent location. Right next to a grocery store, horse stables, the Mustang Mountain Coaster, as well as just a few minutes from downtown and the entrance to RMNP.

Greatly enjoyed this KOA! The staff was great and friendly and even cooked a breakfast in the morning! There is also great birding on the grounds. A great place just outside of Estes to relax and enjoy the mountain air.
Way to expansive for what it is!
