The 2007 San Diego Wildfires were the catalyst for this Vineyard & Winery. After the largest wildfire in San Diego County's history destroyed two family homes, we walked to the top of the hill overlooking the barren slope above Bandy Canyon Road. The fire had carved away decades of native vegetation to reveal 8 x 8 foot spacing of gnarled and charred grapevine roots...it was then that we had the vision of replanting the vineyard and rebuilding a modest winery to replace the 1936 original. We live and work the land in the heart of Highland Valley with our three children, Diego, Isabella & Catalina.
