“65-foot water fall!”
Nestled in the pristine hills along the Chunky River, in South Lauderdale County Mississippi lies Dunn's Fall's Water park. Here, along a shallow stretch of the Chunky River, the bluffs of the eastern bank rise to tree-top level. From this lofty perch, the flowing water of a stream provides a natural source of power, for the working water wheel before making it's sixty to seventy foot decent to the river below. It features a 65-foot water fall created in the mid 1850's by John Dunn, an Irish immigrant, that not only provides pristine beauty, but also provides the power needed.
It was a quick stop with beautiful scenery. Veterans get in free.
Beautiful! You can dip your toes in the water and get up real close. Also very close to Stuckey's bridge another photo op.
It is open 7 days a week now.
Great place for a quick pit-stop to let the kids burn off a little road trip energy....plus it's pretty and great photo op!
Lovely waterfall! 3.25$ a person and you can walk in the old mill
If you bring your chacos you can walk out in the river
Nice little park to get out and roam around. Watch the little ones as the stairs down are wobbly and slick if wet. I have seen people swimming in the river when the flow was low. Be careful if there has been lots of rain or spring tim though as the river can and does get pretty wild.
This area could be amazing. It would be nice if the fees charged to enter and purchase fish food could be used to make improve Taiwan’s to the park. The falls are beautiful, but the mill wheel is inoperable as it is in bad shape. The wooden walkways are in horrible shape, too. Much of the wood is in bad shape and unsafe. It could be positively amazing with some safety improvements.
Pretty neat good place to stop not a place to swim really be sure to have cash to get in
WARNING - Closed Monday's and Tuesday's. Looked nice from the road.
