Carriage House Inn

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Carriage House Restaurant and Catering in Emmitsburg, Maryland offers you and your guests quality and gracious service in an elegant country atmosphere.  Built circa 1857, the building became the Zimmerman and Maxwell Feed and Grain Warehouse in 1877. After the turn of the century, it served as a broom factory and later a bus depot.  The building first became a restaurant named the White Hose in 1953.  Three decades later it was purchased by the Hance family and the Carriage House Inn was born. The Carriage House Inn would like to extend an invitation to you and your family! Please join our award-winning chefs and gracious staff for lunch or dinner. Dine by the fireplace in our elegant country atmosphere. We encourage you to start your meal with our signature Cream of Crab soup, and then sample our Prime Rib au jus or Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. Make sure to save room for a piece of Annie’s pie or cheesecake. If you happen to vist on Friday or Saturday evening, we can even help you court your sweetheart with soft piano music and a long stemmed rose.
