Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on May 11, 2022The park is older, but well kept. The office, restrooms, and laundry area were spotless. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The vast majority of spots are taken by long term occupants, so there aren't a lot of overnighter spots available. It's dirt and gravel with lots of trees. The spot we were in was level. Our 38 foot coach and toad barely fit in a pull through. No WiFi and data on Verizon was spotty. It's right on the highway, but night time traffic was sparse and we didn't notice any road noise. There isn't a dedicated pet area, but there is wide strip next to the road for exercising the dog.
Overall, it's a good place for an overnight stop.

Janet took care of us. She is nice, courteous, conscientious.
Our space was tucked between 2 large trees, although most were not.
Right off the hi-way, but it’s low traffic so not an issue.
A typical, roadside RV park with some permanent RVs and Mobile homes that our neighbor on night two felt was too sketchy to walk by which required specific intention.
It worked well for us as a good rest stop.

A young man checked us in about 2 in the afternoon and we were the only non permanent RV, but by 7 pm another dozen had filled in on this cold December day.
Check in was easy, the facilities are clean and well cared for.
The sites are gravel, but good sized.
There is noise from the highway and the big trucks gearing down as they come into town.

We stayed there two nights to charge flush and fill our RV in prep for Great Basin National Park and to enjoy what Ely has to offer. The RV Park has many shade trees, full hookups, is close to town and only 60 miles from Great Basin National Park. The showers and laundry areas are clean and well kept. The only problem we encountered were the dogs that attacked and bit my wife while doing our laundry. The dogs were uncontained, aggressive and drew blood on my wife’s leg. We talked to the owner about the incident and he was very apologetic and went on to say that he knew they were mean dogs!!!! The owner of the dogs was also very apologetic and offered first aid supplies and assured the dogs had their veterinary shots up to date. She said she NEVER had problems with her dogs biting anyone (????). I told her she had a problem dog that was a liability not only to her but especially to the park owner. We did not seek urgent care as the wounds were minor and didn’t want to deal with the COVID19 stuff. The owner of the park said he took care of the problem…..
In the last four years we have traveled the 15 western states, been out dry camping in Grizzly and cat country and thought we were prepared for anything but if you stay here just beware of the dogs that live to the left of the shower/bathroom/laundry/office building. You may want to pack your bear spray.

Too many long termed, too close to the highway sites were really close together! It was fine for a one stop and go if hook ups is a priority but I personally would rather be away from everyone and have a quiet nights sleep.

Park was clean and very peaceful. Was greeted very warmly when I arrived, which is very nice when you have been on the road all day. Sites were level. I would come back again and again.

This was just a 2 day rest stop. Staff is over the top friendly. Unfortunately, the park needs work. Lots of residents here in eyesore rigs among overgrown sites. Dirt, level sites and interior roads. Our site had serious issues with the septic drainage, maybe the tank needed attention or there was some blockage. When I tried to dump gray tank, it backwashed and spewed all over the ground. They installed a splitter on the water spigot which leaked constantly, I took it off and direct connected. We would not stay here again, it doesn't help this park that it is in the dump of a town called Ely and over an hour away from Great Basin.

Got a last minute spot here on our way through the area. Easy to find right off the highway. The staff was SO friendly and accommodating. Our site was a large pull through, near the highway but the noise wasn’t terrible. Clean showers. It’s nothing fancy but it’s affordable and fine for a night or two!

There are a combination of Back ins, Pull Throughs and extended stay sites. Pretty level, a little run down but nice trees and grassy areas. FHU, showers, laundry.
