Blue Spring

This adventure started with the GPS taking us to the middle of nowhere, but we kept going and within a mile or 2 we found a sign and rock road which lead us to the spring. It has some steep incline/decline. I felt safer driving an SUV.

It is about a 1/2 walk in and out. The “Blue Spring” is beautiful! We spent about 20-30 minutes of time here. We brought out 3 year old, with no issues on this trail.

There are bathrooms, that are not pleasant. That was expected though.

If you continue to go west past this spring, you will come into the town of eminence.

We rerouted and went to rocky fall shutins. We ran out of time due to and accident on the twisty hilly roads. Everyone was ok. There are bathrooms here also.

We passed through van buren on our way home and stopped at the “Big Spring”. It was beautiful. The park was clean and what seemed to be an easy trail you can take after a short walk to the spring. The trail does take you up higher on the rocks. I don’t recall bathrooms here, but I wasn’t looking for them either.

A beautiful blue spring. The pictures don't do the colors justice. It's about a half mile hike back there from the parking lot which is at the end of a 2.5 mile gravel road.

Breathtakingly clear and colorful spring! Gray and murky on rainy days but when the sun is shining the blues and greens are amazing! Easy short walk from the road.
