Confirmed by 4 users | Last reported on July 14, 2022This was a great stop between Stanley Idaho and Reno. Easy pull through gravel site, complete hook ups, strong wifi. Pull through sites are furthest from train so we hardly heard it. Dinner buffet at red lion casino $20 had good quality food but the dessert could have been much better. Highly recommend buffet and RV resort for an overnight stop.
Clean and quiet...nice green spaces with some semi mature trees. Sort of buried in a hotel row, near a small mall with shopping and some restaurants. Gravel pad, (we had to get blocks out to level our unit) with concrete pads for picnic table, width and angle setbacks were good. Wi-Fi seemed adequate.
Best RV park in the area. Make reservations as they only have a limited amount of sites that aren't full timers. There is a train not far away, but if you have the air conditioning on, that helps.
Super clean campground. Will definitely stay again.
Expect an early morning however, the train and trash truck is up early.
Clean, easy, flat & quiet except for the frequent trains - white noise machine took care of that :)
Nice clean RV park with full hook up and facilities. Only negative was the trains going past at night making some noise which might worry some trying to sleep early.
Nice modern campground. Very clean. Lots of services. Spa. Acces to amenities at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn (Pool, Business center, fitness center, etc.).
Our site was really not leveled. Our site was far from the main office so our wifi was on and off.(I should buy a Wifi booster). All night long, we could hear the traffic on the hearby highway. And we understood why it was called Ironhorse. We were waken up at least 3 times by trains.
I really have mixed feelings about this campground. Too expensive to me for a bad night of sleep.

Overall, this is a nice park for where it is located. I personally wouldn't want to stay here for an extended stay unless I had business out in this area or using it as a home base for other activities. It's conveniently off the primary freeway and is very well-kept. The spaces, especially the pull-throughs are good size and easy to access. That being said, it is located in the middle of the desert with a railroad yard not too far away. In the mornings especially, it seems the railroad traffic is pretty heavy so the rumble of the trains and the occasional horns will ensure you know it's morning. In context, we used this location as a rest stop for a longer trip, so we didn't really stay to check out what the community or surrounding areas could offer. So, if you're in need of a pitstop, this is a good location to stop for the night if needed. Unfortunately, I would not recommend for a primary stop or end destination.

This park is adorable! I read other people reviews about being bothered by noise and proximity of train tracks and was concerned at first, but the reality is we camped there for 6 nights and rarely heard the train, and it was never in the middle of the night anyway. The camp is very clean with manicured grassy areas, clean showers and restrooms, awesome clubhouse with pool table and huge TV screen, spacious laundry room. WiFi was pretty good most of the time. I liked the fact that you have a concrete pad by the RV (the site is gravel and pretty level). The girls at the front desk are super professional and friendly. I have to say the vibe of the city is super friendly in general. We enjoyed very much and will definitely stay again!!!

Safe, clean, nicely landscaped overnight stop, but a few issues put this on our "won't return" list.
Checked sites on satellite & booked online..."premium site" #18 so we wouldn't have to unhook & we'd have a large grassy area behind the site to run the dog. As sometimes happens at RV parks, they switched our site and gave us "premium site" #44 instead. Same $$, long enough pad, but no grass on "our" side of the site, just gravel/pavement & a picnic table that needed to be retired (saw numerous other tables in the same condition throughout the park). Looking at my receipt later, I noticed a $1+ dollar "online reservation fee" (no biggie & I probably had overlooked when I originally booked). Kinda sucks tho that I was charged to book a specific site online, which I ended up not getting anyway...
Small onsite pool was cool & clean, but jets didn't work. Jacuzzi water was colder than the pool, jets not working there either. Access is given to a neighboring hotel's amenities, which we did not use...but you have to either walk up a big hill to get there, or call the hotel shuttle (limited availability).
As prominently posted in the office, kiddos under 18 must be "under adult supervision" at all times while in the park...although we saw a few well-behaved rule-breakers riding their bikes alone so they must not enforce this one too strictly.
For the $$ we expected a bit more out of this spot.
