This review is for the Bald Eagle Campground within the 1200+ acre Scott County Park. This is the only campground in the park with full hookups and has asphalt pads. The spacing between sites was decent for a public campground. Our site and the majority of the other sites fit our motorhome and tow vehicle. Our site and about half of the others were level enough not to need blocks. Many of the sites, including ours, had little to no shade. The trees just haven't grown tall enough yet since the campground was built in 2004. The utility hookups are at the back of sites and 10 feet+ away. The campground is about 15 minutes north of the quad cities area.

The best sites are in Bald Eagle and in the left loop when you pull in for the best shade. super clean restrooms and showers. All blacktop sites with cement patio with picnic table. Other campgrounds in the Park. Bald Eagle is the only one with full hookups . Olympic size pool in the park with nice hiking trails as well.

We stayed one night at Pine Grove Campground on our way out west. Restrooms were closed due to COVID-19, but everything else seemed well maintained. It is a larger park than we expected and if we ever come back we will make sure to leave time to explore the trails. It looks like people start to park on spots on Thursday, so weekend arrivals may want to come early. We got lucky and camped on the last spot available when we came in around 9:00 pm on a Thursday.

What a surprise! This is a very large county park with camping options that range from full hookups to primitive. Over 100 spaces and mostly grassy with pretty good room in between - We camped on the Incahaias loop which had water and electric and really beautiful mature trees. Bugs were not bad, mostly flys and firefly at night. The rangers keep things clean and civil and are circling the 5 loops hourly. This is a place you could stay for a few days to hike and bike - the only thing missing is a cool lake to swim in.

Park is first come first served, no reservations so on some days park may be crowded and you may not get exactly what you wanted, but I don’t think there are any “bad” places. There are actually several campgrounds within the park. Some are primitive, one has electric but no water at the site, one has electric and water at the site, and one (Bald Eagle) has electric/water/sewer at site. Bald Eagle NEVER had an empty space (we drove through every day), so getting a space there is like hitting the lottery. Bald Eagle has almost no shade, the others have nice shade. There is an additional campground under construction, but again it has no cover. Rangers are courteous and friendly. All in all, a great stay.

Sept. 6, 2020. Really enjoyed staying here in our camper van. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lots of variety for camping and activities, including golfing and mountain bike trails. Tents & RV’s okay. Quiet. Camp in the woods or in a field. Playgrounds, flush toilets, showers open. Swimming pool was closed at this time.

We absolutely loved staying here! Site 349 is right next to the playground so the kids could play and I could keep an eye on them while I was at the trailer! Full hook ups! Clean! Definitely would stay here again if we are in the area!

This county park was a pleasant surprise as we were passing through town. We arrived in the afternoon and got to pick our site. There are at least 6 campgrounds here ranging from rustic to full hook up. We chose Incahias which is water and electric with a dump station. This park is absolutely enormous and it would be fun to come back when we have more time to explore. Our area was open and sunny but felt relatively private with views out to the corn fields.

I’ve been camping here for over 20 years. I usually camp in the Wilderness Campground which is mostly tent camping. No electric or water hookups but nice area with secluded sites. There are three RV campgrounds with hook ups. Lots of nice trails for hiking and biking. There is a small lake for fishing and a golf course. There are also cabins for rent. Worth a detour if traveling through in I80.
