“a giant abe lincoln!”

Lincoln Rock State Park is an 80-acre camping park on the east side of Lake Entiat, created by Rocky Reach Dam blocking the flow of the Columbia River north of Wenatchee. The park, a popular place for swimming, water-skiing and respite from the hot sun, was named for a basalt outcropping said to resemble the profile of Abraham Lincoln.

We've stayed here a few times for business trips. The park is relatively close to Wenatchee and Leavenworth WA. It's got very nice waterfront, paved sites, with grassy areas throughout. There are views of the arid landscape of the Columbia River valley. There's a good marina for boat access to the Columbia River (which damned at this point, making it basically a lake).

Pros:
Well maintained
Nice grass
Easy access from Hwy 2 / Hwy 97
Great for boaters/water sports.
RV, tent, and group camping options.

Negatives:
Like any WA State Park, it's expensive.
Gets very busy in the summer.
Can be noisy with families and power boats.

This is a great campground, right on the Columbia River. The sites are well-spaced, with much green grass and many mature trees around the sites. There are many families here, so it was easy for our kids to find friends when they wanted. There is a nice playground, a swimming beach, access for your boat, tennis courts, soccer field, volleyball, etc. The store rents sports gear for $3/hr if you didn't bring something. Jet ski and motorboat rentals are right next door.

The Rocky Reach trail is a nice semi-level paved bike trail into Wenatchee, about 6 miles away. This connects with the Apple Capital trail, for another nice scenic 11-mile loop along both sides of the river.

We are a family of four traveling in a 33-foot motorhome. Here's what we're looking for: A playground, stuff for the kids to do, somewhere to ride my bike, beautiful scenery, fire rings, plenty of separation between us and neighbors, shaded and private sites, easy to get in and get level, electric hookups, water and dump station on site, all without being terribly expensive.

This park delivered everything on our list, so it's a 5-star park without a doubt. We were fortunate to snag a cancellation on Labor Day weekend, and look forward to returning again someday. At $30 for a level, paved site with water and electric plus dumping access included, I thought the price was great for what we got. I've paid far more in California for far less. For $10 more, there are also FHU sites with sewer included, which I would have gotten if available.

A couple footnotes, too… All the sites I saw were quite long, so you could park a 43-footer here easily. The one warning I have about this place is it can get quite windy being right on the Columbia.

We go to Lincoln Rock every summer with multiple families. It's clean, grass everywhere, dedicated swimming section of the lake, great playground and massive well-maintained grassy fields for playing, flying kites, etc. All the tent sites have great shade. It can get pretty windy here though. Great little concession stand selling cool treats and ice. There's a gas station two minutes away selling firewood. We camped in tents here many years and just dry camped with our new trailer here this year. It's a regular for our family and we plan on going again next summer.

Large campground with full hookups and good spacing between sites, very nice clean bathrooms with showers. Walking paths between campground sections numerous boat docks on lower section , mature trees and nice lawn, camped early April and its first come first serve and lower tent section with playground was closed for camping but still useable for the docks and large playground for the kids.
See if you can find Lincolns face😋

Lincoln Rock State Park is a tidy campground that is conveniently located right in Wenatchee and popular with families. There was a lot of activity in the campground up until 10p, at which point it was very quiet.

We made a last minute reservation a few days before arriving and was able to choose between two available spots.

There are 3 campground loops at Lincoln Rock State Park. Loop 1 (sites 1-27) are dry camping, no hook-ups. Loop 2 (sites 28-59) have full-hookup with 30 & 50 amp electric, water and sewer. Loop 3 (sites 60-94) have water and electric hookup. The campground loops sit along the Columbia River so some of the sites have waterfront views, we thought the sites in the dry camping loop had the most fantastic views of the river (especially site 12).

This park is typical of those found in eastern Washington, with large expanses of manicured lawns and plenty of shade trees. We spent just one night while on our way elasewhere. Since we came in right after Labor Day weekend, the park was quiet and we didn’t need a reservation to get a spot. Like the previous reviewer, we thought the dry camping sites in Loop 1 were the best. From our site, we had nice views out over Lake Entiait (an impoundment of the Columbia River) and over to the rocky cliffs on the far shore. Our loop was only about a quarter full, but when we took a stroll around the park after dinner, we noticed that Loop 2, with the full hook-ups, was pretty full. During high season this park is probably very busy because of its access to the lake and the river. Motorized water sports of all sorts are very popular here at that time of year so whether or not you’d like the park then depends on how you feel about speed boats, jet skis, etc.

Besides the campground there are also some cute little cabins one can rent. Four near Loop 2 had neat water views. Washington State Perks has gone to a tiered system on the pricing of their campsites. You’ll pay more for a “premium” site than for a “standard” site. Kinda sucks, but that’s the way it is. Our site would normally have been $35, but for the fact that we have a low income senior pass that gives us a discount. $35 seems steep to us for a dry campsite!

We could not find anything to complain about or improve on in this campground. The campsites are spaced out with a lot of room between you and your neighbors. The grounds are beautiful. We had a full hook-up site, so we didn't use the bathrooms and showers, but everything around the park was well cared for. There are docks with boat slips that you can rent while staying there. There is a wonderful swimming area and clean clear water. There are lots of paved walking and biking trails and one that even goes all the way into Wenatchee while winding around through orchards and along the Columbia River. We will certainly return.

We stayed in the no hookup site area and had a wonderful experience. Very few people mid-week, mid- to late September. (The outer loop in the no hook up area is $30/night.) The full hookup area was busier when we pedaled our bikes through it. The showers require tokens (get them at the dispenser on the back of the ranger station at the entrance, roughly 6 mins of hot water per dollar).
There was someone driving a side by side selling firewood for $6/bundle if you wanted it.
Checkout time was 1pm and you could park in the day use area if you wanted to stay longer.
Easy access to the beautiful bike path that goes to town. We got coffee and a scone at Mela.
Discover park pass fee included with camping fees.

We were so lucky to be here during peak fall colors. We watched the leaves change and start to fall mid October. Very roomy campground with wonderful green spaces to enjoy. Lots of room between sites. Nice views of Columbia River and the surrounding hills. Lots to do around the area in Wenatchee And Leavenworth. Nice trails for walking and biking in the campground. Well maintained campground and very friendly hosts and rangers. Lots of orchards and wineries in the area too. We will definitely be back!

Lincoln Rock State Park is an oasis of green about 8 miles outside of Wenatchee, WA on Lake Entiat (an impoundment on the Columbia River). For our mid-July stay, we made reservations eons ago and, given how full the campground has stayed, I’d certainly recommend reservations during high season. Lots of active families and groups with motorboats, but it quieted down pretty well after 10pm.

The campground has three loops, one with full hook-ups, another with water and electricity, and a third with no hook-ups. We stayed in the dry camping loop in site #18. An excellent site with shade and just steps away from the water!

Roads and pads are paved. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring. There are huge areas of lush green grass. Mind the posted watering schedule or you may get soaked! 😊 We did not use the restroom/shower facilities, but everything about this park was well maintained. We enjoyed ice cream and shaved ice at the park store, the staff there was so nice, I asked for a shave ice without syrup for Riley and they wouldn’t let me pay. Said they all have dogs too. Riley is a solid fan.

Excellent walking and biking trails. You can connect the Rocky Reach Trail with the Apple Capitol Loop Trail for a 22 mile ride. The sculptures along the trail in Wenatchee’s Waterfront Park were especially fun.

We had 4 bars of Verizon 4G.
